Stampin’ Up! Splendid Day Designer Series Paper

Today’s card features Stampin’ Up! Splendid Day 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. This paper is one of this week’s  Weekly Deals and it’s on sale but today’s the last day! It’s normally $15.00 but the sale price is $12.00 but only until today! You can see the current Weekly Deals here

I started with a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock for the base of my card.  Then, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and added it to the front of the card (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List). Next, I cut a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock and embossed it using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and then adhered it to the front of the card.

Next, I cut a piece of Splendid Day Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the front of the card.  I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock in Fresh Freesia ink using the stamp set, Go To Greetings and cut it out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it on the card.

To complete my card, I placed three 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds to the front of the card and I adhered a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper

Today’s card was created using Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper and the Amazing Thanks Dies. This card may look like it’s hard to make but it really isn’t!

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock for my card base.  I then used the Amazing Thanks Dies to cut the word thanks out of Early Espresso cardstock (the chunkier thanks) and one out of Basic White cardstock (the “thinner” one). I used Multipurpose Glue to adhere the two pieces together and then added Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back (I had to cut some of the dimensionals in half).

Then I cut a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper in half on the diagonal (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List). For each piece I placed the top right corner (on the shorter side) and the bottom left corner in the track of my Paper Trimmer and then cut. I then glued the Designer Series Paper to the cardstock and then adhered them to my card front.

Amazing Thanks Dies Stampin Up

Then I adhered the “thanks” between the two pieces. To complete the card, I added three Rhinestones.

Stampin’ Up! This Birthday Piggy Bundle

Today’s card was made using one of the new dies in the Perfect Partners promotion, the Playful Piggy Dies. I also used Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper and the stamp set, This Birthday Piggy. The dies are available in the This Birthday Piggy Bundle or you can purchase them separately. The dies (and bundle) are only available until September 30, 2022 or while supplies last!

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock for the base of my card.  Then, I cut three pieces of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper into three strips and adhered them to the front of the card. I stamped the pig onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento ink and then colored him with these Stampin’ Blends:

  • Petal Pink (Light and Dark)
  • Pool Party (Light and Dark)
  • Daffodil Delight (Light)
  • Soft Suede (Light)
  • Fresh Freesia (Light)

I cut the pig out using the Playful Piggy Dies.

I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut a scalloped circle out of Balmy Blue cardstock and another circle out of Basic White cardstock. I adhered the two together, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the center of the card.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento ink using the stamp set, This Birthday Piggy and then cut it out using the Playful Piggy Dies.  I adhered the sentiment to the back of the pig then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of both the pig and sentiment and adhered them to the front of the card.

To complete the card, I added three Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Dots around the pig.  These gems are super sparkly!

Two Specials and Stampin’ Up! Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper

Happy September 1st! This year is flying by, isn’t it? September reminds me of fall weather but here in California we’re having anything but fall temperatures. Yesterday it was 108 degrees and today isn’t going to be much better. Please send some fall weather our way!

I have a card to share with you today but first, to kick off September, Stampin’ Up! has two specials!

For the next four Thursdays, Stampin’ Up! will be introducing new Weekly Deals. This week they are offering embellishments, Designer Series Paper, dies and more but everything is while supplies last!! For the most up to date information CLICK HERE to go to the Weekly Deals page on my Stampin’ Up! online store.

Stampin’ Up! is offering six NEW dies that coordinate with stamp sets from the Annual & Mini Catalogs. You can purchase the bundles and save 10% or you can purchase just the dies if you already own one of the stamp sets.  These dies are available while supplies last! Below, I’ve listed the bundles along with the individual stamp sets and dies.  If you prefer, you can look at a flyer HERE or see these products on my Stampin’ Up! online store HERE

I have one more card to share with you using the Basic Borders Dies.  Unfortunately the Aspen Tree Dies and the Perched in a Tree Bundle are both currently unavailable but are estimated to be back in stock the week of September 26th. I also used the coordinating stamp set, Perched in a Tree, and that IS available!  Normally I don’t share products that aren’t in stock but since this was a free Sale-a-Bration gift, I’m assuming many of you do have it.

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and then used one of the Basic Borders Dies to cut off a piece of the front of the card. Then I added a piece of Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Ink on the front of the card using the stamp set, Perched in a Tree. Then I used the Aspen Tree Dies to cut three leaves out of Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Garden Green cardstock.  I arranged them on the front of the card using a combination of Mini Glue Dots and Multipurpose Glue.

To complete my card, I added three Champagne Rhinestones to the front of the card.

Simply click any of the products and you’ll be taken to my Stampin’ Up! online store. When placing your order, don’t forget to use the special Card Sampler Host Code (please do not use host code if your order is over $150 – see above).

Please note:  As of this writing, the Cottage Rose stamp set is on the Low Inventory List. If it becomes unavailable, use your favorite stamp set!

Edited to Add:  The Cottage Rose stamp set is now unavailable but is expected to be back in stock the week of September 12th.

Onto my last Sale-a-Bration card! I used the Hippest Hippos stamp set and the Hippo Dies to create today’s card. Each of these products can be earned with a $50 purchase but only until the end of today!

Edited to Add:  Unfortunately it seems the Hippos Dies have sold out. My link for the dies takes you to the landing page and not the product and that means they are gone. I’m sorry!!!

To create my card, I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock. Then I used the Basic Borders Dies to cut a scalloped edge across the bottom of the front. I adhered a piece of Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper to the inside so it would peek through.

I stamped the hippo in Memento ink and then colored him with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends (Light & Dark) and for the flower I used Balmy Blue Blends (Light) and Granny Apple Green (Dark). I cut the hippo out using the Hippo Dies.

I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut the Balmy Blue and Basic White circles.  Then I placed the Basic White circle in the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.  I adhered the two circles together and added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.

During Sale-a-Bration, the Timber 3D Embossing Folder can either be earned with a $50 order using the product number 163094 or it can be purchased using the product number 156406.

I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Balmy Blue ink and the stamp set, Hippest Hippos. It was cut out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  I added a little bit of adhesive to the front of the sentiment and slipped it behind the hippo. I added more adhesive to the hippo and adhered it to the circles and then placed it on the front of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Basic Borders Dies Day 2

Today is Day 2 of showcasing Stampin’ Up! Basic Borders Dies. If you missed yesterday’s card, you can see it here

Yesterday I found out that the Aspen Tree Dies – a Sale-a-Bration gift with a $100 purchase – are on the Low Inventory list. More stock will be coming in but when, I can’t say. If you’ve had your eye on these dies or the Perched in a Tree Bundle, grab them while you can!

The Aspen Tree Dies can be purchased in three ways:

Please note:  The free Sale-a-Bration option has a different product number than if you were to purchase the dies. If you are choosing the free option, be sure to use the Sale-a-Bration product number. Please see the different item numbers above.

I had planned to space my three cards throughout the week but I’m sharing them today just in case they are out of stock soon! This first card was made with Rings of Love Designer Series Paper, a Sale-a-Bration gift with a $50 purchase.

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and then used the Basic Borders Dies to cut the bottom into a V-shape. Then I added a piece of Rings of Love Designer Series Paper to the inside. Next, I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink using the stamp set, Cottage Wreaths

I placed a piece of Basic White cardstock inside the Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Then I adhered it to the front of the card.

I used Memento ink to stamp the bird and branch onto Basic White cardstock using the stamp set, Perched in a Tree  (this coordinates with the Aspen Tree Dies). Then I colored the bird using these Stampin’ Blends: Night of Navy (Light and Dark), Daffodil Delight (Light and Dark). I used the  Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend for the branch and the bird’s beak and feet. I also used the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter on the bird’s belly. I then adhered the bird and branch to the front of the card.

For this next card, I didn’t use Designer Series Paper but chose to use embossed paper for both the inside and front of the card. I also made the front embossed piece a little bit longer than on the previous card.

I used all the same products but for this card, I used a Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend for the branch and the bird’s feet and beak.

For this next card, I used another design from Rings of Love Designer Series Paper.

I cut a piece of 4″ x 3- 3/4″  piece of Rings of Love Designer Series Paper and placed one of the Basic Borders Dies from the top right corner to the bottom left corner to create the shape.  I started with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and then added a layer of Crushed Curry cardstock that I ran through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder. Then I adhered the shape I made with the Basic Borders Dies.

Next, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto Basic White cardstock using the stamp set, Charming Sentiments. I cut it out using the Stylish Shapes Dies (currently out of stock but estimated to be available again the week of September 19th). I cut a larger circle out of Early Espresso and layered the two pieces together. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.

I used the Aspen Tree Dies to cut two small leaves out of Crushed Curry & Poppy Parade cardstock and then adhered them above the sentiment. To complete my card, I added three Brushed Metallic Dots

Supply List

Below you’ll find all the Stampin’ Up! supplies I used for all three cards. If you need any stamping supplies, I’d love to be your demonstrator! You can place an order by clicking any of the images below to go to my Stampin’ Up! online store.

The Specialty Plate is used with 3D Embossing Folders.

Stampin’ Up! Basic Borders Dies

This week I’ll be sharing several cards using the Basic Borders Dies. These dies add an interesting element to any card!

Today’s card was also created using Rings of Love Designer Series Paper.  This paper can be earned free with a $50 purchase and it’s only available until Wednesday, August 31st! I LOVE this paper and really wish it wasn’t going away.

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and then used the Basic Borders Dies to cut the scalloped border. Then I cut a piece of Rings of Love Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink using the the stamp set, Go To Greetings

Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and ran it through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered it to a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and then placed it on the card front. I used the Beautiful Shapes Dies to cut a circle out of Basic White cardstock and then used my Paper Snips to cut a house out of the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper which I then adhered to the Basic White circle.  I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the circle and adhered it to the card.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Shapes

To complete my card, I used two pieces of Linen Thread to create a bow and placed a Mini Glue Dot in the center before adhering it to the house. You can find all the measurements I used to create today’s card below the Supply List.

To create my card, I started with a piece of Pool Party cardstock for the base of my card and then adhered a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside.  Next, I cut another piece of Basic White cardstock and set it aside (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List).

Next, I opened the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder and on the side that is “indented” I brushed Pool Party ink over the entire area using a Blending Brush. Then I placed my Basic White cardstock inside the folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Believe me, this is addicting when you see what you can create!

Before adhering this layer to the card base, I wrapped a piece of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon around the cardstock and tied a knot.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Shapes

I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Pool Party ink and the stamp set, Framed Occasions. Then I cut it out using the Beautiful Shapes Dies which coordinate with this stamp set. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the card.  To complete the card, I added three Iridescent Pearls

Back to my card! I started with a base of Night of Navy cardstock.  Then I cut a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper (DSP) the same size as  a piece of Basic White cardstock (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List). I ran the Basic White cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Aspen Tree Dies. Then I adhered the Hues of Happiness DSP to the die cut piece by simply adding adhesive all around the edges. Next, I glued this piece to my card front.

I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock with Night of Navy ink using the stamp set, Inspired Thoughts and then cut it out using the Meadow Dies. I used our Silver Foil to cut two leaves using the Aspen Tree Dies (I love the texture of the leaves). I adhered the larger leaf to the card and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the sentiment and adhered it to the card.  Then, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the smaller leaf and placed it so the stem was slightly on the sentiment. To finish the card, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside.

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper

Today’s card was made using Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper and the Amazing Thanks Dies

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock. Then I cut a piece of Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper (I think this design is so elegant looking in person) and adhered it to a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock (all the measurements I used can be found below the Supply List). These layers were then adhered to a piece of Basic White cardstock.  I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the card base.

Amazing Thanks Dies Stampin Up

The Amazing Thanks Dies come with two “thanks” and one is chunkier than the other.  I used Smoky Slate cardstock for the chunky one and Basic White for the other one. After I cut them out with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I layered them together using Multipurpose Glue. Then I put Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back (I had to cut several dimensionals in half) and then adhered it to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment in Smoky Slate ink onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock using the stamp set, Inspired Thoughts. The sentiment I used had more words than I needed, so I covered the words I didn’t want with Post It Tape, inked up the stamp, removed the tape and stamped it onto my cardstock.

I cut the sentiment out using the Stylish Shapes Dies (these dies are currently unavailable but more stock should be arriving the week of September 19th). I added Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it below “thanks”. To complete my card, I added three Elegant Faceted Gems below the sentiment.

  • Basic White cardstock (sentiment): scrap
  • Smoky Slate cardstock: 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″
  • Smoky Slate cardstock (thanks): approx. 3-3/4″x 1 1/2″

Perfect Partners Promotion Coming on September 1st

The card I’m sharing today was made using the Apple Harvest Bundle which will be available beginning September 1st during the Perfect Partners Promotion! Six new dies will be introduced on September 1st that coordinate with sets in our Annual and Mini Catalogs. The dies can be purchased separately or in a bundle with the coordinating stamp set. BUT, these dies are only available during the month of September and while supplies last!

Click the image below for the Perfect Partners Promotion flyer or HERE (there are two pages).

My card was created using the Apple Harvest stamp set (you can find it in the Mini Catalog) and the Apple Blossoms Dies which will be available on September 1st.  The Apple Blossoms Bundle (162526) includes both of these products and you’ll save 10% when you purchase any Stampin’ Up! bundle.

I started with a piece of Granny Green cardstock for the base of my card.  Then I adhered two squares of In Color 2022-2024 Designer Series Paper (in Parakeet Party) to a piece of Basic White cardstock and adhered it to the card front.

I stamped the apples and leaves in Memento Ink onto Basic White cardstock using the stamp set Apple Harvest. The apples were colored using Real Red Stampin’ Blends (Light & Dark) and the leaves were colored with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends (Light & Dark). The stems were colored with Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends (Light). I cut them out with the Apple Blossoms Dies #160255 (available on September 1st) and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

I used the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut a scalloped rectangle out of Basic White cardstock.  Then, I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink (using the Apple Harvest stamp set) towards the bottom of the rectangle.  I adhered the apples to the rectangle and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.  I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside to complete the card.

The two cards I’m sharing today were made from a design I shared last week (you can see the original post here).

My first card was made with Sun Prints Designer Series PaperLayering Circles Dies, Biggest Wish stamp set and the Fern 3D Embossing Folder

I started with a base of Thick Basic White cardstock and then added pieces of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper and Night of Navy cardstock embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List).

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink using the stamp set, Biggest Wish, and cut it out with the Layering Circles Dies. I cut another scalloped circle out of Night of Navy cardstock and layered it with the sentiment.  Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back before it was placed on the card.

To complete my card, I added three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the front of the card.

This second card was made with Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper, Smoky Slate cardstock and one of the Elegant Eucalyptus Embossing Folders.
