Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Dies Are Retiring

If you follow me, you know I love using our Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I was shocked and saddened to see them on the retiring list as they’ve definitely been a favorite of mine. I love the stitching and the delicate scallops. If you’d like to add these to your crafting favorites, I can’t stress enough, get them as soon as you can. I’ve been watching what has already sold out and the Just Jade Ink Refill showed up on the list yesterday. Several bundles are gone and a lot of stamp sets. With all the supply chain issues, we seem to have less in stock than we normally do so grab your favorites just as soon as you can!!

Yesterday I shared a card using the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set and today I have another card using this set along with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. You can see yesterday’s card here

Happy Hedgehogs

Happy Hedgehogs Stampin Up

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and then added a layer of Flirty Flamingo Designer Series Paper from the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack (this paper is retiring and on sale). Then I cut a rectangle out of Basic White cardstock using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and stamped the tree in Memento ink.

Happy Hedgehogs stamp set Stampin Up

I colored the tree using our Watercolor Pencils and Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 and used a Blender Pen to spread and soften the color. I used Flirty Flamingo, Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight and Garden Green. I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green ink using the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set and then cut it out using one of the dies from the Sweet Hearts Dies. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals only to the part of the sentiment that would be on the rectangle.  To complete the card, I added a small Brass Butterfly to the sentiment and two larger ones around the tree.

Bundle Alert:  The Happy Hedgehogs Bundle (#157985) includes the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set and the Hedgehog Builder Punch. You always save 10% when you purchase a bundle.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Hedgehogs

Yesterday we found out which products from the Annual Catalog are retiring. I was surprised that some products were retiring and happy that others were not. In years past, stamp sets were guaranteed until a certain date but that isn’t happening this year.  Everything is while supplies last and several stamp sets have already sold out.  Many items are deeply discounted so if you haven’t had a chance, you can click HERE to head over to my Stampin’ Up! online store to see what we’re saying goodbye to!

Several products on my card today are retiring:

Tailor Made Tags Dies

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and added a layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock that I ran through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Gingham Embossing Folder. Then I used the Tailor Made Tags Dies to cut a tag out of Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper and Basic White cardstock. The tags were a little too big for my card so I made them smaller by pulling the die up on the tag I already created and then ran them through my die cut machine again (see the picture below).

Happy Hedgehogs

Tailor Made Tags

I used Memento ink to stamp my bird and the sentiment, both from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set, onto the Basic White tag and then used a Granny Apple Green stamp pad to stamp the grass. I colored the bird and flower with Stampin’ Blends:  Balmy Blue (Light & Dark), Daffodil Delight (Light & Dark) and Light Granny Apple Green. I used Mini Glue Dot to adhere the two tags together and then used the Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine (from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack) to tie the two tags together. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Hand-Penned tag and adhered it to the front of the card.  To complete my card, I added five Elegant Faceted Gems to the front.

Savings Are in Bloom Sale

This sale ends on March 31st.  Some of the products in the sale are retiring and the dies are discounted but for most of them the best deal is the price in this promotion. The only exception I saw is the Garden Wishes Bundle. Both the dies and the stamp set in this bundle are heavily discounted and your better deal is to buy the stamp set and dies separately.

The products in the Art Gallery and Celebrate Sunflowers Bundles are not retiring but the bundle price will only be around until March 31st.

All the bundles is this promotion are listed below. The Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is also on sale (the price is going up in the new catalog) so this is even better deal. Click on any of the images below to be taken to my Stampin’ Up! online store.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

The Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog is Retiring!

The Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is retiring and today at 1:00 PM. (Mountain Time), Stampin’ Up! will release the list of all the products in the catalog that are retiring. Some products will be discounted but everything on the Last Chance List will be available while supplies last.

As soon as I have the list, instead of creating another blog post, I will insert it right here for you to look at so please check back later today. I like to use the list to go through my catalog, page by page, and mark everything that’s retiring but usually the list is very hard to read (extremely small print) but I will post it for those of you who would like to do this as well. I’ll also post a link that will take you directly to my Stampin’ Up! online store to the retiring products section.

Edited to Add:

You can go straight to my Stampin’ Up! Online Store HERE to see all the retiring products!

Access the Last Chance PDF HERE!

The fastest way to see what’s retiring, is to go to my Stampin’ Up! Online Store around 1:00 PM Mountain Time (sometimes they post early) to see which products we’re saying goodbye to and what’s on sale.

12:00 PM  Pacific Time

1:00 PM  Mountain Time

2:00 PM Central Time

3:00 PM Eastern Time

Please keep this in mind when looking at the Last Chance (retiring) List:

  • Many bundles will be retiring but not necessarily the products themselves. For instance, in the last catalog the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle retired but both the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and the Sunflowers Dies did not retire. If a current bundle is retiring that you like, but the products are not, grab it now so you can receive the 10% discount.

  • Check the last page for a “key” (I won’t see the list until 1:00 so I’m assuming there will be a key).  Some products will say they are retiring but they are returning. It’s possible they are being packaged or configured in a different way.

  • If you want something, act quickly! Everything will be available while supplies last and I don’t want you to be disappointed that you didn’t get something you really wanted.

  • The retiring In Colors products will go fast! They are Misty Moonlight (sigh), Just Jade (another sigh), Cinnamon Cider, Magenta Madness and Bumblebee. You can click each color below for all the products available in that color.

New Annual Catalog Coming Soon

The new Stampin’ Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog will be debuting on May 3, 2022. On April 1st, I will be ordering a Stampin’ Up! catalog for all my customers. Once I receive them, I will start packaging them up to mail out. If you aren’t a current customer of mine, simply place an order at my Stampin’ Up! Online Store and I’ll send one to you too!

Demonstrators can preorder from the new catalog on April 1st.  If you’d like to order new products early too, and get a discount on top of it, consider purchasing the Starter Kit for $99. You’ll then be able to choose $125 in product.  For more information about the Starter Kit, please click here or feel free to contact me.

Important Shipping News

Beginning April 1, 2022, Stampin’ Up! standard shipping and handling charges will change from $6.95 or 10% of your order – whichever is greater – to $7.95 or 11% of your order – whichever is greater. If you choose to expedite your order, those costs will also increase. Stampin’ Up! hasn’t raised these costs in over a decade and in the last two years they have tried several ways to manage shipping costs without raising shipping prices but with these unprecedented times, it was simply necessary. No one, including me, likes to see a price increase but so much has changed in the last several years and everyone is feeling this ripple effect. What I do want to see is that Stampin’ Up! continues to bring us fun new products to craft with!

Pansy Patch Card Sampler

Contact me after you’ve placed the order to let me know that you’d like the Sampler – you only need to contact me if your order is $150 or more.

Stampin’ Up! What’s Cookin’ Bundle

Quick announcement before sharing today’s card:  The current Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog will be retiring on May 2, 2022. This Wednesday, March 23rd, the Last Chance List will be published and will list all the retiring products from the catalog. Demonstrators will not see the list ahead of time so once I am able to get my hands on it, I’ll post it here on my blog. All retiring items will be available while supplies last.

Each year a new set of In Colors are announced so the 2020-2022 In Color products will all be retiring:  cardstock, ink pads, ink refills, Stampin’ Blends, etc. These products usually sell out first so if you have some of these stamp pads or want to purchase any of these colors (don’t forget ink refills) or coordinating products, my recommendation is to do it sooner rather than later. To see the products for each retiring In Color, click the color swatches below.

Today’s card features the What’s Cookin’ Bundle, one of thirteen bundles on sale during the Savings Are In Bloom promotion.  This bundle includes the What’s Cookin’ stamp set and the Cookin’ Dies

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and then added a layer of Balmy Blue Designer Series Paper from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Pack that was cut out using the Scalloped Contours Dies. I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut a scalloped rectangle out of Basic White cardstock. I had planned to use the Scalloped Contours Dies for this piece but the rectangle was a little too small. I stamped the sentiment in Balmy Blue ink towards the top of the rectangle and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.

I stamped the measuring cups and bowl in Balmy Blue ink, the rolling pin in Crumb Cake and then used the Cookin’ Dies to cut them out.  I used our Silver Foil Specialty Paper to cut out the whisk, again using the Cookin’ Dies. I cut the bowl so I could slip the whisk in and once I adhered it to the card front, you couldn’t tell that it had been cut. I adhered all the pieces to the card front using Multipurpose Glue and then to finish the card, added three Elegant Faceted Gems in white.

Stampin’ Up! Pierced Blooms Dies

Today’s card is all about spring! I used the Pierced Blooms Dies and Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper to create my card today.

Pierced Blooms Dies

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and then added a strip of Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper to the top and bottom of the card front. I cut a larger strip of Basic White cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink using the stamp set, In Bloom, and then glued it to the card front.

Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper

I used the Pierced Blooms Dies to cut two flowers out of Highland Heather cardstock, three leaves out of Old Olive cardstock and two centers (of the flowers) out of Gorgeous Grape cardstock. I used Multipurpose Glue to attach the centers to each flower and then added a small, white, Elegant Faceted Gem. Mini Glue Dots were used to adhere the leaves to the flowers. I adhered one flower to the sentiment piece and added a Stampin’ Dimensional to the other before placing it on the card.

Elegant Faceted Gems

To complete my card, I added three large, white Elegant Faceted Gems to the sentiment piece.

Below you’ll find all the Stampin’ Up! supplies I used for today’s card. If you need any stamping supplies, I’d love to be your demonstrator! You can place an order by clicking any of the images below to go to my Stampin’ Up! online store.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  Are you having any special foods today? My husband, Mark, has been curing a brisket for over a week and then he’ll be cooking it on the smoker later today.  I’m not overly fond of corned beef but he’s been talking about making it for a few months now so we’ll be enjoying corned beef, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage tonight!

I have a St. Patrick’s Day Special! All orders $50 or more that use my host code 6BY7CN9F will receive a package of the beautiful Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels as my free gift to you! I love all the colors of blues and greens in this package of gems. Unfortunately they’ll only be around until supplies last so I’ve been purchasing them for this special!

This offer is good starting today and will end on Monday, March 21st.

Stampin’ Up! Sunflowers Dies

The card I’m sharing with you today was made using the Sunflowers Dies and Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper

Sunflowers Dies

I started with a piece of Bumblebee cardstock for the card base.  Then I added a layer of Basic White cardstock that I ran through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. I used the Sunflowers Dies to cut the sunflower out of Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper and the detailed part out of Bumblebee cardstock. I cut another detailed part out of Early Espresso cardstock and cut everything off so that just the middle remained. The center was cut using Basic Black cardstock. I cut the leaves out of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  I also cut the detailed part of the leaves using Pear Pizzazz  cardstock.

Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper

Bundle Alert Sale: Although I didn’t use the sentiment in the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle, this bundle is on sale for this month only. It includes the Sunflowers Dies and Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.  This set of dies and stamp set were brought back just for this sale so on April 1st, you will no longer be able to purchase the two together with a discount.

To adhere the two bumblebee sunflower pieces together, I added Multipurpose Glue to the center of the detailed sunflower. Then I glued the Basic Black center to the sunflower and then glued the Early Espresso center to the top.  I used Multipurpose glue (very small dots of glue) to add the detailed leaf to the embossed leaf. I added Mini Glue Dots to adhere the leaves to the sunflower. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sunflower and adhered it to the front of the card.

The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink using the stamp set Boughs & Blossoms and then cut out using the Seasonal Labels Dies. I used Multipurpose Glue to adhere it to the sunflower.  To complete the card, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside and then placed five Holiday Rhinestones on the front of the card.

You’ll receive all the materials to make six cards and each one is packaged separately in its own envelope (you will need to supply your own stamp set, ink and adhesive).  You’ll quickly have a card that’s ready to be mailed out to someone special. Once you’ve made all the cards in the Sampler, you’ll be able to easily replicate each card by following the easy to follow directions in the PDF (pictures are included as well).

Here’s how you can earn it FREE!

  • Place a minimum $50 order (before tax/shipping) at my Stampin’ Up! online store.
  • You must use my special Expressions in Ink Card Sampler Host Code when placing your order (see below)  BUT if your order reaches $150 or more, please DO NOT use the host code so you can receive Stampin’ Rewards (free product directly from Stampin’ Up!).  Once you place your order, simply drop me an email (only necessary if your order is over $150) letting me know that you’d like the Expressions in Ink Card Sampler.
  • Today is the last day the Expressions in Ink Card Sampler will be available.

Here’s What You’ll Receive:

  • All the paper and embellishments needed to make six cards (two each of three different designs). The paper will be cut, scored, embossed and die cut for you! You’ll need to supply your own adhesive, ink and stamp set (per Stampin’ Up! I cannot send stamped images). Envelopes will also be provided.
  • A PDF Tutorial with instructions, pictures, cutting measurements and a complete supply list of all the products used.
  • Earn at least one Bradley Point (earn ten Bradley Points and redeem them for free product).

All the Other Important Information:

  • Your Expressions in Ink Card Sampler will ship first-class mail approximately March 24, 2022 and will be mailed to the address used on your online order.
  • You’ll receive an email when I mail your Card Sampler and the PDF Tutorial will be included in that email.
  • When using the Expressions in Ink Card Sampler Host Code to place your order, you will not qualify for other current host code rewards.
