To create today’s card I performed surgery once again! Surgery on my rubber stamp that is and let me tell you, it can be pretty scary but it feels great conquering a fear, even if it’s just with a rubber stamp! I cut apart one of my stamps and honestly, the words were all so close together that I didn’t think I was going to be able to trim it and be happy with it, but I decided to just go for it. I’m so happy I did!
I have quite a few stamps that I really like but they say more than I really want. I love a good set with lots of different fonts saying thank you but I usually just want the words, thank you. I used a sentiment from All Things Thanks that said, thank you for welcoming our newest arrival. I have never used it as is, but it’s certainly a sentiment that I like having. Now that it’s been separated, I just added more value to the set!
The card comes together pretty quickly. I embossed the Whisper White layer and then added a Petal Passion Designer Series Paper strip to the front. After stamping the sentiment with Memento Ink, I cut it out with the Layering Circles Framelits. Using these same dies, I cut the Berry Burst and Basic Black scalloped circles. I layered them together and added Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back. I finished the card by adding a Metallic Enamel Shape to the front.
- Berry Burst cardstock: 11″ x 4-1/4″ score at 5-1/2″ scrap for scalloped circle
- Whisper White cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″ Scrap for scalloped circle (sentiment)
- Basic Black cardstock: scrap for the scalloped circle
- Petal Passion Designer Series Paper: 2″ x 5″
- Run the Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot using the SoSoftly Falling embossing folder

Your card is very pretty! I love those colors together (and I applaud you for being “strong” enough to actually cut your stamp apart.) The card is beautiful!
Thank you, Laurie! Thanks too for understanding how much strength it takes to cut a stamp apart – ha ha! I’ve had that stamp set for almost two years! I wish I’d been brave enough to cut it up when I first got it! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I love hearing from my blog readers! Have a wonderful day!
