Stampin' Up! Making Christmas Bright

Welcome to my blog! For the next several days I’ll be featuring the stamp set Making Christmas Bright, currently available in the Holiday Catalog. This fun stamp set coordinates with the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch. Although I didn’t use the punch with today’s card, if you purchase both the stamp set and punch together, you’ll save 10%. For today’s card I used three of the stamps in the set. I stamped the string of lights using Memento Ink and then colored them in using Stampin’ Blends: Dark Cherry Cobbler and Dark Call Me Clover. For the sentiment, I combined “May Your Christmas Be” and “Bright.” I tried putting both stamps onto an acrylic block so I could stamp them at the same time but I couldn’t get Bright as close as I wanted it. So, I stamped May Your Christmas Be, first, and then stamped Bright, right below it using Real Red ink.

I cut the sentiment out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and adhered it to a Real Red scalloped oval using the coordinating Layering Ovals Framelits. As I’ve mentioned before, both of the Framelits are staples in my craft room along with the Layering Circles Framelits. I also own the Layering Squares Framelits but I don’t use them as frequently. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment to give the card some pop!

I finished the card off with our Red Rhinestones which are currently on the Low Inventory List so if you’ve been thinking about purchasing some, I’d recommend getting them as soon as possible! This is a super easy and quick card to create!
