I’ve certainly been on a butterfly kick. Making them in any color you want can be addicting AND fun!
Using sponge daubers, I swirled color onto my Whisper White cardstock using Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. I wasn’t deliberately making circles and was surprised with what I created!
Once the paper dried, I cut out a butterfly using the Butterflies Thinlits. I LOVE how the butterfly turned out! Imagine all the possible beautiful color combinations! When using this die, I recommend adding a piece of waxed paper between the paper and the thinlit. This helps all the tiny pieces come out. Sometimes I also run the “sandwich” through my Big Shot twice just to be sure that it is completely cut out.
I hope you’ll give this a try and if you do, I’d love to see what you’ve created!

Another card today using the Watercolor Wonder paper. I hope you aren’t getting tired of this paper! This is a normal sized card but on the front, you make a score line at 2-3/4″ and fold it back to create this fun fold. It doesn’t lie flat so it was hard to take a picture of it closed.
Only THREE DAYS left of Sale-a-bration! If you would like to place an order, click HERE to go to my online store.

Happy Monday! Here’s an easy card that you can make using the Oval Framelits!
Use your Big Shot and cut out an oval using the Ovals Collection Framelits (#129381) on the front of your card. Then emboss just the front with the Fancy Fan embossing folder (#127751). You want to be sure to emboss last so that you don’t flatten the embossing. Next, use that same size Framelit and cut out an oval out of a sheet from the Watercolor Wonder DSP (#132994). Using the next smaller size, center it on the oval you just made and you will have created an outer frame that you can glue to the front of your card! You’ll also have an extra oval that you can save for another card – perhaps use it as an Easter egg!
My greeting (from the set Sassy Salutations) was punched out using the Decorative Label punch. I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the greeting so that it would “pop” up.

Today I have a card for you that uses the Petite Petal and Flower Shop stamp sets again. The hardest part of this card was deciding which colors to use! I went with Island Indigo and Pool Party, two beautiful shades of blue. My greeting is from the set Sassy Salutations. I popped up my flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals which always gives a nice effect.

This card was so much fun to make! The stamp set used to make the banners and the banner punch can each be yours, FREE. With each $50 purchase you make, you can choose one item in the Sale-a-bration catalog absolutely FREE. With a $100 purchase, both of these products can be yours. The punch will also be available in the 2014-2015 annual catalog but you can receive it free until March 31st!
Yesterday I bought a beach towel that has the most gorgeous shades of blues and greens. I kept looking at it and thought, I should make a card with those colors! I wanted to throw some Tempting Turquoise into the mix but decided to stick with Pacific Point and Gumball Green. I wrapped some Linen Thread around my Whisper White paper and then adhered my banners to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I embossed just the upper half of my card with the Decorative Dots folder (also FREE during Sale-a-bration) and stamped my greeting with the stamp set Sassy Salutations (wood #132070 clear#126707).
