by Tracy | Dec 2, 2024 | Christmas Card

Before sharing my card with you today, I want to let you know about Last Chance Products! This will begin on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. This is a brand new process and I’m learning while I go!
- The Last Chance Products category will include retiring products from the September -December 2024 Mini Catalog and online releases, excluding Paper Pumpkin. When the Annual Catalog retires, you will find the retiring products in the Last Chance Products category of the online store (this won’t happen until the beginning of April).
- There will be a Last Chance Products category in the Online Store.
- Last Chance Products in this category are available while supplies last and will be discontinued when they sell out. Items will be automatically removed from the category and the online store when they are discontinued.
- Discounts vary and are subject to change.
- The Last Chance Products category will be updated every other month (more retiring products will be added). Updates to this category will happen in February, April, June, August, October, and December.
- Stampin’ Up! may add individual items from bundles or suite collections to the Last Chance Products category. If one or more products from the suite collection or bundle are in the Last Chance Products category, then the bundle and suite collection will also appear in this category. The bundle or suite will not be orderable if one or more of the items in the bundle or suite collection sell out. Our standard 10% bundle discounts will be available if one or more of the items move to the Last Chance Product category; however, the item in the Last Chance Products category may have a deeper discount.
- There may be times Stampin’ Up! will need to discontinue certain products outside of this process. This can happen due to factors outside our control, such as overseas shipping issues, disruptions to the supply chain for raw materials, or changes to our suppliers. If a product is discontinued outside the process, it won’t be available in our Last Chance Products category.
- There will no longer be a Clearance Rack, it will be now known as the Last Chance Products page..
- The Last Chance Products will be available to all on December 3, 2024. You’ll be able to see what’s retiring!
While I have your attention, Demonstrators needed to finalize on Saturday, who we would be sending the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog & Sale-a-Bration brochure to. If you ordered from me in the last six months, I ordered one for you and you should be receiving it between mid to late December. The new catalog goes live on January 7, 2024!
On to my card for today! I used the Decorative Trees Bundle, Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder, Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper (DSP), Spotlight on Nature Dies and our Festive Glimmer Paper.

I started with a piece of Real Red cardstock for the base of my card. Then, I cut two pieces of Basic White cardstock. I embossed one of them with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and adhered it to the front of the card. With the other one, I adhered it to the inside of the card.

Next, I cut the solid tree in the Decorative Tree Dies in Garden Green cardstock and for the decorative one, I used Festive Glimmer Paper. I glued the trees together using Multipurpose Glue (I only put glue on the open parts of the decorative tree). I then cut two circles out of Reindeer Days DSP (both of the circles are the same size) using the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I adhered the circles to the front of the card but on the tree, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the tree between the deer.

I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Real Red ink and the Decorative Trees stamp set. Then, I cut it down to size with my Paper Trimmer, then I adhered it to the front of the card. This was a fun card to make!

Now on to my card for today! I made a Z fold card using Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper, the stamp set, Greetings of the Season and Spotlight on Nature Dies.

When you look at a Z fold on a table and look down at it, it looks like a Z. You can find the measurements I used below the Supply List. I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and scored it in two places. I folded the card in half and then folded the smaller piece towards the center of the card.

Then, I cut two pieces of Lost Lagoon cardstock and two pieces of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper (DSP) – this paper is from the Annual Catalog and will be on sale for 20% off beginning on Wednesday! I adhered them together and put one of them on the front of the card and the other inside. I cut another piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock and adhered a piece of Winter Meadow DSP to the right and adhered a piece of Basic White cardstock on the left side.

I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Lost Lagoon ink and the stamp set, Greetings of the Season. I cut it out using the Spotlight on Nature Dies, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back, only on the right side and placed it on the front panel.

Supply List

by Tracy | Oct 23, 2024 | Christmas Card
Today I’m sharing a card I made with Stampin’ Up! Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper (an Online Exclusive), Greetings of the Season Samp Set (an Online Exclusive), Gold Foil Sheets, Spotlight on Nature Dies and the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder (I absolutely love this embossing folder!). I also embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder.

I started with a piece of Garden Green cardstock for the base of my card. Then, I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I adhered the embossed cardstock to the front of the card.
I adhered a piece of Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper to a piece of Gold Foil and then adhered it to the front of the card (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List). Then I adhered another piece of Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper to a piece of Gold Foil (the square), added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock using the stamp set, Greetings of the Season. Then I sprinkled gold embossing powder over the sentiment and heat embossed it (if you’ve never embossed before I have directions below. I love embossing sentiments! I think it elevates the card to the next level! I cut the sentiment out using the Spotlight on Nature Dies, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.
To complete my card, I added a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to the inside of the card.

How to Heat Emboss
Prepare your cardstock by rubbing the Embossing Buddy (an anti-static pouch that can be found in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit) over the surface of the paper as it helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder. Stamp your sentiment or image using a Versamark pad. This is very sticky ink and your embossing powder will stick right to it. Sprinkle embossing powder over the stamped image and then shake off any excess. Before applying heat to your paper, heat the Heat Tool first so your paper won’t warp (about 10 seconds). Direct the heat over your image and watch as your image becomes shiny and beautiful!

I’m not a person who likes coffee, lattes or tea, but I do love a good cup of hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream, especially when I’m watching Hallmark movies. Sometimes I’ll add a Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Square to my hot chocolate, too! We’re having anything but Fall weather where I live in Southern California, in fact, we’ve had triple digit temperatures this past week. We won’t see any relief until Wednesday (fingers crossed). Anyway, I’m wishing for Fall weather!
For my card today, I used the More Than Autumn Bundle, Take a Bow 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Stylish Shapes Dies and Spotlight on Nature Dies. I didn’t realize until I had made my card that I used three different sets of dies. If you only have the Stylish Shapes Dies, there is a circle pretty close to what I used to put my hot chocolate on.

I started with Garden Green cardstock for the base of my card. Then I added a layer of Basic White cardstock with a piece of Take a Bow Designer Series Paper (DSP). Next, I stamped the cup onto Take a Bow DSP using Memento Ink, the whipped cream on to Basic White and I did another cup onto Real Red cardstock, using Memento Ink. I used the More Than Autumn dies to cut the whipped cream but the cups I used my Paper Snips to cut them out (if you use the dies, it will have a rim around it and for this card, you don’t want the rim). I only cut the center part out on the Real Red cardstock.

Next, I added an Adhesive Sheet to the back of my Real Red cardstock and cut the words “Hot Cocoa” out using my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the More Than Autumn Dies. I stamped a candy cane onto Basic White cardstock using Real Red ink and cut it out with the More Than Autumn Dies. I also stamped “Nothing’s Better Than” in Real Red ink onto Basic White cardstock and cut it out using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I cut a large circle out of Basic White cardstock using the Spotlight on Nature Dies.
Now on to assembly of the card. I made sure where I wanted everything to go before gluing it down. I adhered the circle to the front of the card. I glued the center of the cup in Real Red cardstock to the cup and then added glue to the lower portion of the whipped cream and adhered it to the cup. Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals all over the back of the cup and adhered it to the circle. Then I added the candy cane to the center of the cup.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and adhered it to the top of the card. Then, I peeled off the adhesive sheet on the back of “Hot Cocoa” and adhered it to the front of the card.
To complete my card, I added a piece of Basic White to the inside.

Today I’m sharing a card I made with Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper, Winterly Tree Tops Dies, Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder, and Earth Tones Shimmer Gems (all of these products are new!). I also used Blueberry Bunches stamp set and the Spotlight on Nature Dies.

I started with Thick Basic White cardstock for the base of my card. Then, I added a layer of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and a piece of Nests of Winter DSP (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List). Next, I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies to cut a large circle out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and a smaller one out of Basic White cardstock. I used the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the Basic White circle.

I adhered the Basic White circle to the Cherry Cobbler circle and adhered it to the front of the card. I used the Winterly Tree Tops Dies to cut the bird out of the Nests of Winter DSP (I love when there are dies that correspond to DSP). I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the bird and adhered it to the embossed Basic White cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink and the Blueberry Bunches stamp set. I cut it out using the same design that I used for the other two circles using the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it on the card. To complete my card, I added three Earth Tone Shimmer Gems to the front.
