Today’s Card

Today’s card is a fun fold that features the Simply Fabulous stamp set, Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders and the Brilliant Wings Dies.

I started with a piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock for the base of my card. Then I used a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock, scored it in two places and adhered it to the base of the card, making sure that the larger flap was at the bottom so that the top flap could fold over the bottom one. You can find all the measurements I used below the Supply List,

I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card.  Then, I cut a piece of Country Gingham Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the bottom panel. I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock, placed it inside one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I adhered this piece to the top panel. The Basics 3D Embossing Folders are currently on the Low Inventory List so if you’ve been thinking about purchasing them, I recommend getting them now.

I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a square out of Basic White cardstock, Then, I placed it in my Stamparatus and stamped the sentiment in Orchid Oasis ink using the stamp set, Simply Fabulous. The Stamparatus is great for getting a dark, crisp image because the powerful magnets hold the paper in place and you can stamp over and over again until you’re happy with results.

I adhered the sentiment to a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock and then on the back, I added two rows of Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the piece to the top panel.

I used the Brilliant Wings Dies to cut a butterfly out of Orchid Oasis cardstock.  I cut a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional in half and placed the two pieces down the middle of the butterfly and adhered it to the sentiment piece. To finish my card, I added an Iridescent Pearl to the butterfly.

Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set

Earlier this week I shared two cards with the same layout as today’s card but I changed up the Designer Series Paper and sentiments. Today I have one more for you that was made with Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper, the Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set (comes in cling (rubber) and photopolymer) and Something Fancy Dies. You can see the two other cards with this layout, HERE and HERE.

I started with Balmy Blue cardstock for the base of my card. Then I layered two pieces of Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper with two pieces of Highland Heather cardstock (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List) and adhered both to the card base. I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the card.

I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using the stamp set, Fragrant Flowers and Highland Heather ink. I used my Stamparatus so I could get good ink coverage of the sentiment. I then cut it out using the Something Fancy Dies. I cut the same shape, but larger, out of Balmy Blue cardstock using these same dies and then layered the two pieces together. On the back, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the right side, on only the part that would be touching the left panel, and adhered it to the front of the card.

To complete my card, I added three Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the panel on the right side.

Note: The middle color of the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins is Petal Pink but it is misleading in this picture. The colors are Gold, Petal Pink and Balmy Blue.

Sneak Peek of Stampin’ Up! Love Cats Stamp Set

Today I have another sneak peek of new products debuting on January 5, 2023 in the January – April Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog! The new products are:

  • Love Cats stamp set #160410
  • Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper #160375

I started with a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock for the base of my card. Then I ran a piece of Basic White cardstock through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Into the Clouds Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card base. I cut a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock and adhered a piece of Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper (available January 5th) to the front and then adhered it to the left side of the card base.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the cute cat from the stamp set, Love Cats (available January 5th). If you want a really bold image, the Stamparatus is perfect for the job because you can keep stamping in the same place. I stamped the cat on Basic White cardstock using Memento ink and then cut him out using the Layering Circles Dies. I colored the heart using my Real Red Dark Stampin’ Blend. I cut another, larger, scalloped circle, again using the Layering Circles Dies, and adhered the cat to the front. Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.

I stamped my sentiment in Memento Ink using the stamp set Framed Florets and cut it out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it below the cat.

To complete my card, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card and added three Iridescent Pearls to the front.

Stampin’ Up! Bottled Happiness Bundle

Today’s card was made using the Bottled Happiness Bundle which includes the Bottled Happiness stamp set and the Vintage Bottle Punch.  I also used my Stamparatus to line up the two images that make up the bouquet of flowers.

Tea Boutique

For the base of my card I used one of the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes and as the name states, there’s a matching envelope for each card base. I layered a piece of Basic White cardstock and Starry Sky cardstock together and adhered them to the front of the card.

I cut another piece of Basic White cardstock and placed it in the Stamparatus.  There are two stamps that make up the bouquet (see the diagram below). I used the stamp with the leaves first and placed it on the cardstock exactly where I wanted and then closed the Stamparatus cover so the stamp would stay in place. I used my Parakeet Party Stampin’ Write Marker  to color the leaves on the stamp and the Starry Sky Stampin’ Write Marker to color the small flowers which are actually the centers of the larger flowers. Then I closed the cover to stamp the image onto my Basic White cardstock. I colored the images a second time so they’d be darker.

The beauty of the Stamparatus is that you can remove the plate and turn it around and use the other side (plus it comes with two plates) which I did. I didn’t remove the first stamp so I can make multiples of my card at a later time. When I stamped the other image, I used my Orchid Oasis stamp pad to color the images. It took me several tries (five or six, if I’m being honest) to get my stamps aligned exactly how I wanted them.  It was worth it because I love the finished bouquet. Imagine all the possibilities with different colors!!  Those two stamps aren’t coming off my plate for a while!

I adhered the bouquet stamped image to the front of the card and then stamped the bottle in Starry Sky ink and cut it out with the Vintage Bottle Punch.  I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it below the bouquet. I used the All That Dies to cut the sentiment banner and then stamped the sentiment in Orchid Oasis ink using the stamp set, Bottled Happiness.

I used several Mini Glue Dots to adhere the sentiment to the bottle. Then I used three strands of White Baker’s Twine (part of the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack) and made a bow.  I added a Mini Glue Dot to the back and adhered it to the bottle.

Bundle Alert: The He’s All That Bundle includes the All That Dies and He’s All That stamp set. You’ll always save 10% when you purchase a bundle.

Supply List

Below you’ll find all the Stampin’ Up! supplies I used for today’s card. If you need any stamping supplies, I’d love to be your demonstrator! You can place an order by clicking any of the images below to go to my Stampin’ Up! online store.

Introducing the Stamparatus!!!

Today is a two post day because I’m just too excited to wait until tomorrow! At On Stage in Salt Lake City a brand new product was demonstrated and this morning all of the details were released and we were given the ok to fill you in on all the details!!! For the past several years, I’ve had the honor of being a part of the group of demonstrators who helped with the development of this new product.

Before I tell you all about this product and how you can purchase one, I want to tell you about my stamping philosophy.  I absolutely love to stamp.  I love creating pretty cards and 3D projects.  Frustration has no part in my stamping.  If I find that I’m not having fun because I’m just getting utterly frustrated, I move on to something else. There are many areas in life where this philosophy is absolutely unacceptable but in stamping, it’s OK! It’s supposed to be fun!!! The brand new STAMPARATUS solves so many frustrating problems and that’s why I’m very excited about this product!!

The Stamparatus is a stamp positioning tool that will change the way you stamp with its very unique features. Check out the video below (my favorite feature: the hinges)!

Now that you’ve seen the video, don’t you love it???

  • You can precisely line up images without worrying about measuring or trying to get them straight.
  • Didn’t get enough ink on your stamp?  No problem. There’s no need to start over, just ink it up again and stamp!
  • Want to make multiples of a card? This tool makes it so easy!

How to Preorder the Stamparatus  $49.00

Stampin’ Up! is trying a brand new PREORDER reservation system for the Stamparatus.  You’ll reserve a spot and as soon as it arrives in the Stampin’ Up! warehouse, it will be shipped to you.

There will be three reservation windows but reservations are while supplies last! If you want to be one of the first ones to get your hands on this wonderful new product, be sure to order as soon as possible starting November 16th! I don’t know how many will be available within each reservation window but if you’re as excited as I am, order it immediately! The reservation window will open on November 16th at 2:00 PM Mountain Time.

Reservation Windows

November 16 – 30, 2017   Will ship approximately February 1, 2018

December 5 – 30, 2017   Will ship approximately March 19, 2018

January 15 -30, 2018   Will ship approximately April 15, 2018

You will be reserving your Stamparatus and your credit card won’t be charged until it’s shipped.  You will need a Stampin’ Up! customer account so if you haven’t ordered before, you’ll need to set that up.  Create an account by clicking HERE!

In the Q & A below, the How to Reserve Your Stamparatus Tutorial for Customers is the graphic above.

Please let me know if you have any questions!!

It’s a lot of information and I know it might be a bit confusing!
