Unfortunately there are times in our lives when we need a condolence card. One of the stamp sets featured on my card today, Kindness & Compassion, is a sentiments only stamp set that’s just perfect for those times when you want to express that you care.
The rose on my card is from a stamp set called Healing Hugs. This set is from a new stamp line from Stampin’ Up! and it was made using a patent pending process that creates realistic looking images. Normally you would need to stamp several different stamps to achieve the look that you get with just stamping once. Stampin’ Up! has named this new line of stamps, Distinktive. The video below, from Stampin’ Up! will show you what makes this type of stamp so unique and what’s included in the stamp set, along with some ideas for using it.
To create my card, I stamped the rose image in Highland Heather and then added Gorgeous Grape around the edges using a Sponge Dauber (you’ll see this technique in the video). After I stamped the leaves in Granny Apple Green, I hand cut both the rose and leaves. I don’t love fussy cutting but these images were fairly easy to cut. I attached the leaves to the rose using glue dots and then put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the rose and attached it to the front of my card. I ran the Whisper White piece through the Big Shot using the Climbing Vine Embossing folder. The sentiment was stamped in Gorgeous Grape.

- Gorgeous Grape: 11″ x 4-1/4″ score at 5-1/2″ and 3″ x 1-1/4″
- Whisper White: 5-1/4″ x 4″ and 1″ x 2-3/4″
