Garden Impressions Thank You

If you want a quick and easy card, this is it! Grab a beautiful paper, add a sentiment and you’re good to go! I used Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper which includes (48) 6″ x 6″ sheets with 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. I cut the paper down to 5″ x 3-3/4″ and layered it on top of a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and then both went on a Soft Sea Foam card base.

The sentiment is from the stamp set, All Things Thanks, and I stamped it in Shaded Spruce onto a piece of  3-3/4″ x 1-1/4″ Whisper White cardstock.  It’s attached to a piece of 3-3/4′ X 1-1/2″ Calypso Coral. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back before attaching it to the front of the card.

Here’s another sample with all the same dimensions. The paper is also from the Garden Impression paper pack and I used Soft Sea Foam and Melon Mambo cardstock.

Granny Apple Green Treat Holder

Today I have a treat holder and a video!  I wanted a little box that would fit a Hostess Ho Ho inside but you could fill it with candy or anything else on the small side.  Did you know that Ho Ho’s are no longer wrapped in foil? It makes sense in this day and age for them to be completely wrapped but I was kinda disappointed when I didn’t see little foil packages inside the box.

I used Granny Apple Green cardstock for the bottom of the box and this color is now my new favorite Stampin’ Up! green. So pretty and cheerful! The top is also Granny Apple Green and it’s from the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (all the Brights colors are included in the package). The sentiment is from the new stamp set, Treat Time, and was cut out with one of the dies in the Petite Treats Framelits Dies (save 10% when you purchase the bundle which includes both of these products). Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon was used to wrap around the box (I love this ribbon).  Check out the video below and see how easy it is to make this box!  (more…)

Stampin’ Up! Healing Hugs

Unfortunately there are times in our lives when we need a condolence card.  One of the stamp sets featured on my card today, Kindness & Compassion is a sentiments only stamp set that’s just perfect for those times when you want to express that you care.

The rose on my card is from a stamp set called Healing Hugs.  This set is from a new stamp line from Stampin’ Up! and it was made using a patent pending process that creates realistic looking images. Normally you would need to stamp several different stamps to achieve the look that you get with just stamping once. Stampin’ Up! has named this new line of stamps, Distinktive. The video below, from Stampin’ Up! will show you what makes this type of stamp so unique and what’s included in the stamp set, along with some ideas for using it.  (more…)

Stampin’ Up! Polka Dot Thank You

Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend!

Today I have two cards to share and they both showcase the same Stampin’ Up! products:

I still can’t decide if I like one version more than the other.  Do you have a favorite?

This is a great layout because with a simple change of paper and colors, it looks completely different. Several weeks ago I made this same card but used the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. You can see that card here. (more…)

Simply Shammy

The Simply Shammy, a reusable cleaning mat, is a brand new product in the Stampin’ Up! catalog. Wow! I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do. It’s quite different from what I thought it would be and it’s now a staple in my craft room. It sits on my desk and when I need to clean a stamp, I pop open the stamp case I keep it in, brush the stamp across the surface of the shammy and then actually put my clean stamp away!

I made a short video all about the Simply Shammy and how to use it. Quick note:  In the video I mention that I store mine in one of our standard stamp cases.  After I made the video I realized that the price for the cases is incorrect in the catalog.  The catalog incorrectly lists the Standard Stamp Cases as $7.00 but the correct price is $6.00.  (Also, the Half Wide Stamp Cases are $5.00, not $6.00 as stated in the catalog).  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me!

The Simply Shammy and Clear Mount Cases are listed below.  For easy shopping, click either of the images and you’ll head over to my Stampin’ Up! store.
