by Tracy | May 11, 2022 | Fun Fold Card
I haven’t shared in a few days because my husband and I have been dealing with poison oak. Definitely not fun and it was hard to create with itching on my mind. Luckily we’re on the road to an itch free life once again.
Today I have two fun fold cards to share with you using Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. I shared another card using this same layout a few weeks ago but used our Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper. You can see that card HERE.
I started with a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock and scored it in two places to make the fun fold (you can find the measurements below the Supply List). Then I cut and embossed two pieces of Basic White cardstock using the Stitched Greenery Die and adhered them to the two panels on the front of the card.
Next, I cut a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock and adhered a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back (only on the top section) and adhered it to the top panel. I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Freesia ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Happiness Abounds stamp set and cut it out using the Double Oval Punch. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it on the front of the card. To complete my card, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside and added a Brushed Brass Butterfly to the sentiment.
Here’s another variation also using Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper but this time I used Melon Mambo cardstock and Melon Mambo ink.
Supply List
Below you’ll find all the Stampin’ Up! supplies I used for today’s card. If you need any stamping supplies, I’d love to be your demonstrator! You can place an order by clicking any of the images below to go to my Stampin’ Up! online store.

Before sharing today’s card, I wanted to share this update from Stampin’ Up! about the Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends:
The new Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends from the All Together promotion have been a huge hit and we’re happy to see so many people embrace these new marker shades!
Unfortunately, because of global shipping delays, our North America stock of markers may sell out before our restock shipment arrives. This means there will be a period of time where the markers, and collections that include the markers, will be unavailable for purchase.
The good news is that the Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends are a permanent addition to our marker collection, and we are optimistic that they will be back in stock by the launch of our 2022–2023 Annual Catalog! If you don’t snag your markers before they sell out this time around, you can purchase them in May.
Click here to see the Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends over at my Stampin’ Up! online store (scroll down to see the individual sets of markers or the entire collection of markers can be purchased)
Today’s fun fold card features several Sale-a-Bration products. Sale-a-Bration is that time of year when you can earn free products with every $50 or $100 you spend (before tax and shipping). If you’ve never heard of Sale-a-Bration, you can read all about it here. I used the Friendly Hello Bundle which includes the Friendly Hello stamp set and Friendly Hello 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. It can be earned with a $100 purchase. I also used the Special Moments stamp set which can also be earned with a $100 purchase.
I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock which is the base of the card (you can find the measurements below the Supply List). I cut a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock that I folded in half and adhered a piece of Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper to the front. I also adhered a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside. Before adhering this piece to the card base, I cut another piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock and scored it to make a flap. I added adhesive to the front side of the flap and adhered it to the back of the Granny Apple Green/Designer Series Paper piece (use a strong adhesive such as Multipurpose Glue). Then I added adhesive to the back and placed it on the Thick Basic White cardstock.
I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and placed it inside one of the Meadow Moments embossing folders and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I placed it on the front of the flap. Using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, I cut two rectangles, one out of Basic White cardstock and a slightly larger one out of Granny Apple Green cardstock. I stamped the sentiment onto the Basic White rectangle using Granny Apple Green ink and the stamp set, Special Moments and then adhered it to the Granny Apple Green rectangle. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.
To complete the card, I added two Brushed Brass Butterflies to the sentiment piece.

Today I have a sneak peek of Heart & Home Designer Series Paper (#157928) which will debut on January 4, 2022 in the January-June Mini Catalog. If you’ve ordered from me in the last six months, I ordered a new catalog for you and had Stampin’ Up! send it to you (along with the Sale-a-Bration brochure). I’ve heard that some people have already received it so if you haven’t, it’s on the way!
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper is part of the Heart & Home Suite. The colors that coordinate with this package of paper are:
This is a very quick and easy card to make. The measurements are listed below the Supply List and you can see how to fold the cardstock and where to place your adhesive in a previous post HERE. After you make the base of the card, you’ll add the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper to the front and then wrap your ribbon around the smaller section. The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green ink onto Basic White cardstock using the stamp set, Flowing Flowers. I cut it out using one of the dies from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies. These dies were in the Holiday Mini Catalog but are being carried over and will continue to be available.
I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and adhered it to the front of the card. Quick and easy!

Stampin’ Up! has a new Mini Catalog debuting on January 4, 2022. If you’ve ordered from me in the last six months, I ordered a catalog for you in late November and you’ll be receiving it directly from Stampin’ Up!. As I understand, they were mailed in early December so be on the lookout for it soon (it will also include the Sale-a-Bration brochure). If you placed an order from me for the first time in the month of December, I will be directly mailing yours to you.
Last Friday I shared two cards with you (and a free tutorial) and unfortunately the Designer Series Paper I used on both cards is no longer available. So I made another version of the card using Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog.
I also used the stamp set In Symmetry along with the Layering Circles Dies.
You can find the measurements I used in last week’s free tutorial along with the directions on how to create this fun fold card. The Supply List for today’s card can be found below.

Have a wonderful day!
by Tracy | Oct 28, 2021 | Designer Series Paper, Fun Fold Card, Rectangle Stitched Dies
Today’s card is another book binding card that I made for a friend who just celebrated her birthday. She loves pink and I think she’ll like this very pinky card!
I started with a piece of Magenta Madness cardstock (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List) and scored it in two places. Then I folded the card in half and then folded the other piece back. My post the other day shows where to put the adhesive and what the fold looks like. You can see it HERE.
I adhered two pieces of Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper to the two panels on the front and I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card. I wrapped a piece of Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon around the left side of the card and tied a knot.
Using the Stitched Rectangles Dies, I cut a small rectangle for the sentiment. The sentiment was heat embossed onto the rectangle using gold embossing powder (included in the Metallics Embossing Powder set) and the stamp set, Artistically Inked. You can see the directions below for heat embossing. It’s very easy to do and gives your card a wow factor.
I adhered the sentiment to a piece of Magenta Madness cardstock, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card. I didn’t want the pink flower in the middle to be covered up so I placed the sentiment towards the bottom. To complete the card, I added three Wonderful Gems below the sentiment. You might have missed these in the Holiday Catalog. They were in last year’s Mini Catalog and were brought back for this year’s Mini. The clear gems have flecks of gold in them which is just perfect the Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper because many of the designs also have gold accents.
How to Heat Emboss
Prepare your cardstock by rubbing an anti-static pouch over the surface of the paper as it helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder (Stampin’ Up! no longer carries this product but it’s a must when embossing). Stamp your sentiment or image using a Versamark pad. This is very sticky ink and your embossing powder will stick right to it. Sprinkle embossing powder over the stamped image and then shake off any excess. Before applying heat to your paper, heat the Heat Tool first so the paper won’t warp (about 10 seconds). Direct the heat over your image and watch as your image is transformed!
Bundle Alert (save 10%); The Artistically Inked Bundle includes the stamp set Artistically Inked and the Artistic Dies.

by Tracy | Oct 25, 2021 | Card Sampler, Designer Series Paper, Die-Cutting, Fun Fold Card, Heat Embossing, Layering Circles Dies
I always love when a card opens in a different way and my book binding card today is super easy to make!
I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List) and scored it in two places. Then I folded the card in half and then folded the other piece back (see the picture below).
I put Tear & Tape on the small section (I like using Tear & Tape but any strong adhesive will work). I then folded the piece over towards the right and this creates the book biding look.
I added Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper to the large front panel and the panel on the left. I used our 1-1/2″ Metallic Mesh Ribbon and tied it around the left side. Since I used a heavy duty adhesive, the ribbon is purely decorative. This mesh ribbon is gorgeous with all the silver running through it .You could even use this to wrap presents!
I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and a larger, scalloped circle out of Silver Foil. On the Basic White cardstock, I embossed the sentiment using the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set, Versamark ink, Silver Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool. Embossing is so easy to do and I really think it makes a card look so elegant. If you’ve never embossed before, I have directions below. I adhered the sentiment to the Silver Foil and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Silver Foil circle and adhered it to the front of the card.
How to Heat Emboss
Prepare your cardstock by rubbing an anti-static pouch over the surface of the paper as it helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder (Stampin’ Up! no longer carries this product but it’s a must when embossing).
