The Polished Stone Technique really is a lot of fun and in a previous post I shared how to do it. You can see that post here. I needed a birthday card last week and had this background just sitting on my craft table waiting for me to use it. It’s very hard to see in the picture, but the surface is very shiny because glossy paper is used.
I used the stamp set Watercolor Words and stamped my sentiment using Memento Ink. I wasn’t sure how it was going to work on the glossy paper but it was fine, I just needed to let it sit overnight. I’m thinking that Archival Ink would have been better but I’ll have to try that another time. I embossed “to you” with white embossing powder on Basic Black paper and used the stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous. I popped the sentiment with Mini Stampin Dimensionals.
I used Bermuda Bay for the base of the card and Basic Black for the second layer.
Stamping Supplies: Unfortunately I don’t remember which combination of reinkers I used to create my background but I do know one color was Bermuda Bay. It’s possible I also used Island Indigo, but I am not sure. For more information about these supplies, click on each individual picture below.

Today’s card is quick and easy to create! I used paper from the Stampin’ Up! Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack which coordinates beautifully with Fresh Fig & Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment is from the stamp set One Big Meaning whicht has 7 different stamps that all say thanks! I used Fresh Fig to stamp “Thank You” and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. It sits on another circle cut out of the same framelits in Fresh Fig. Three rhinestones finish the card.
If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you saw today’s card right after I created it. Ooops! It happens to all of us. You’re ready to write inside your card and realize that you made one big boo-boo! All you can do is laugh (after a few choice words)!

Welcome to Tool Time Tuesday! Each week I focus on a tool that can be found in the Stampin’ Up! catalog. This week we’re going to talk about VersaMark, a watermark stamp pad (when you stamp on dark card stock, it leaves a darker image, like a watermark).
You can find many, many stamp pads in the catalog and it can be quite daunting trying to figure out which stamp pad to use when. VersaMark is a staple in my craft room!(more…)

More Information About Paper Pumpkin
Every kit comes with an exclusive stamp set to use over and over!
You’ll receive at least one Classic Stampin’ Spot with every kit. The colors don’t repeat in a 12-month period, so it’s easy to build a collection of colorful ink.
Every new subscriber receives a clear block (size D) with their first kit to help them get started and to use throughout their subscription.
In addition to a stamp set and ink spot(s), the kits include supplies to make projects like cards, home décor, gift packaging, and more. For example, the card kits (6+ per year) always include 8 cards—at least!
It’s flexible! You can suspend (for a month) or cancel at anytime.
Since all the prep work is done, the projects take a shorter time to complete, making it the perfect on-the-go craft. Headed out of town? Grab a kit to create during some downtime. It’s all contained in one little box, so it’s easy to take anywhere!
It’s a surprise in your mailbox every month. Because who doesn’t love happy mail?

Last week during the First Fridays Blog Hop, I shared a box that would fit 4-5 cards & envelopes. Today I have another box and the directions so that you can recreate it yourself!
Today’s card uses the new bundle in the Annual Catalog called Grown with Love. It includes not only a flower pot but a watering can and wagon. How cute is that?
I stamped the flower pot in Crumb Cake and then used the Frameliits to cut it out. The flowers and leaves were stamped in Garden Green directly onto the Whisper White base but then stamped again in Berry Burst and Daffodil Delight so I could cut the flowers out with the Framelits. These Framelits actually only cut out the three larger flowers but I cut the smaller ones too with these larger dies and then trimmed them a bit. I attached the flowers with glue dots. The flower pot is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I took three strands of Linen Thread, tied them into a bow and attached it to the flower pot with a glue dot.
Measurements
Whisper White card stock: 11″ x 4-1/4″ Scored @ 5-1/2″ and 5″ x 3-3/4″
Daffodil Delight card stock: 5-1/4″ x 4″
Berry Burst card stock: 4″ x 3-1/4″
I love hearing from you! If you have any thoughts or questions about today’s card, please leave a comment!
