Birthday Blooms Gift Card Holder

I’ve been in a gift card making mood and have several more for you this week! But first, if you follow my blog, you know that for the last several months I’ve been posting Monday – Friday.  I wanted to let you know that I’m going to make a small change in my schedule and you can count on my posts Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.  I won’t be posting tomorrow but I’ll have one more way to package a gift card on Saturday.

On to today’s project!  This is a small card and will definitely fit into one of our Whisper White Medium Envelopes with some extra space. You could also tuck it inside a small gift bag and just forget the envelope!

As you can see from the picture, your gift card slides in to the pocket.

The sentiment sits on a scalloped oval which has Stampin’ Dimensionals along the bottom edge.  That way, the top flap can tuck underneath it.  Hopefully the picture helps in understanding this.

I used Party Animal Designer Series Paper to decorate the panels of the holder.  This paper is currently on the retiring list and on sale.  It’s normally $11.00 but you can get it, while supplies last, for $6.60!

Dimensions

Base:   8-3/4″ x 3-1/2″    score on long side at 3-1/4″ and 7-1/4″

(Use tear and tape to adhere the sides together to make a pocket)

Designer Series Paper:  3-1/4″ x 3″    and    3-1/4″ x 1-1/4″

Early Espresso Pocket Card

Over the last few days I’ve shown several pocket cards (you can see them below) and I have one more!  I gave today’s card to my brother-in-law, Dan, for his birthday, as well as the blue one below.  I attached a gift card to the bottom half of the Very Vanilla piece of cardstock that slips inside, using glue dots.

You can see the original posts for both of these cards HERE and HERE.

The beautiful Moroccan Designer Series Paper, used to create my card today (and the blue one)  is on the retiring list AND on sale but only while supplies last!  To see the sale price, simply click the picture below!

Pocket Card Using Moroccan DSP

Last week I posted a Pocket Card after visiting the strawberry farm near my home.  You can see that card HERE as well as all the directions to create it and the dimensions.

We celebrated my brother-in-laws birthday on Sunday so I made several (I’ll share another one tomorrow) masculine pocket cards using the retiring Moroccan Designer Series Paper (on sale!).

I had planned to take the gift card out of its packaging and use glue dots to place it on the card that slips in the pocket but I wrote my sentiment and completely forgot that’s what I was going to do. I was so excited when I realized that it FIT INSIDE PERFECTLY! Yep, I was doing the happy dance!

The “celebrate” stamp set is a sneak peek at one of the sentiments in a new stamp set debuting on June 1st called Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

I slipped my card into a gift bag and then added tissue paper! Easy wrapping!  It would also fit inside one of our Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes.

All of the crafting supplies you’ll need to create my card are listed below.  Simply click on any picture and you’ll be taken to my Stampin’ Up! online store!

Mother’s Day Card

If you’re a mom, I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday!  I wasn’t able to be with my daughters but I spent the day with my mom which made me happy!

Today I’m sharing the card I made for my mom.  I recently purchased the Large Letters Framelits and thought they’d work perfectly for the card I wanted to create! I will be completely frank with you here and say that these Framelits are very pricey but letters never go out of style.  Right?  You can use them for cards, scrapbook layouts, small gifts . . . .  I’ll work on some projects in the near future showing different ways to use these very versatile dies.  These dies are also available as a bundle with the Letters For You stamp set which will save you 10%. I know it ‘s a bit confusing but the bundle is on the retiring list although the individual products will still be in the new catalog.  The bundle price is only while supplies last.  Click on the picture below if you’d like to add this bundle to your cart.

Letters for You Bundle
#142348

I used three new products that you can purchase on June 1st when the new catalog goes live.  The base of my card is Berry Burst, one of the new In Colors.  I’m a pink girl so this color makes me very happy.  My flowers were made using  the Berry Burst stamp pad.

www.stampingwithtracy.com

Normally I wouldn’t show you a card using three different stamp sets, but since I was making this card for my mom, I went all out. My little flower was stamped with Birthday Blooms, the greenery is from Jar of Love and Love You, comes from a new stamp set (again, available on June 1st) called Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  The sentiment actually says, I Love You, but I only inked up Love You.

After inking up my letters, I cut two more of each letter and stacked them on top of each other using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.  I ended up still using Stampin’ Dimensionals to get more height but if I had to do it again, I would have added more layers instead.

I used Wild Wasabi for one of the card layers and the greenery.  I tend to like darker greens but Wild Wasabi worked beautifully for the look I wanted.

Stamping Supplies – Here’s the list of all the supplies I used (I can’t post new products until the catalog goes live on June 1, 2017).  See something you want to purchase?  Just click the pic and you’ll head on over to my online store!

Picking Strawberries & Fruit Stand Paper

Last week I went strawberry picking with my daughter and grandchildren.  It didn’t take long to pick a ton of berries and they were so delicious! We had rain a few days later so we were glad we had timed our visit just right!

As I was eating strawberry after strawberry, I remembered that I had strawberry paper in my package of Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper (this paper is on sale 20% and while supplies last).  I couldn’t pass up making a card with this cute paper. I’ll post all the dimensions but can I share a few pictures first?

This pocket card is very easy card to make! You’ll make two score lines – one  at the halfway point and the other will be folded down to create the pocket.

The sides of the card are not glued together but instead tied up with linen thread.  The Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper includes 12 sheets of  12″ x 12″ two sided paper  and what I’ve used shows both sides of one sheet. Ready for the measurements?  If you make this card, I’d love to see your creation!

Whisper White (base of card):  11″ x 4-1/4″  score at 5-1/2″ and  1-1/2″

Designer Series Paper:  4″ x 3″   and   4″ x 1-1/4″

Whisper White (for inside of card):  5-1/4″ x 4″

Have a wonderful weekend!

Butterfly Basics Flowery Wishes

For the past several days I’ve shared several ideas using the stamp set Butterfly Basics.  It’s a great set with so many possibilities and it comes in either wood mount, clear or photopolymer.

To create my card, I first stamped it with Memento Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and then used my Copic markers to color it, which are a non Stampin’ Up! product.  The base of the card is Whisper White.  I embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Petal Burst embossing folder and layered it on top of a piece of Real Red cardstock..  The sentiment, also included in the Butterfly Basics stamp set, was stamped in Memento Ink and cut out with the Layering Ovals Framelits using the Big Shot.

Card Dimensions – Below you’l find the dimensions for my card.  I love seeing your creations so if you make this card, please email me!  You’d make my day!

Whisper White (card base):  8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″  scored at 4-1/4″

Real Red:   5-1/4″ x 4″

Whisper White (embossed layer):  5″ x 3-3/4″

Real Red:  4″ x 2-1/2″

Whisper White (flower):  3-3/4″ x 2-1/4″

Butterfly Basics Butterflies

I have another card today using the stamp set Butterfly Basics and it definitely falls into the category of Quick and Easy!  The sentiment is also from this set!

I love the clean look of Bermuda Bay, Pacific Bay and Whisper White!

To complete the card, I added pearls down the center of each butterfly.  In a few weeks, when the new catalog goes live on June 1st, you’ll be able to order pearls again.  The packages have been reconfigured so they went up on the retired list and sold out quickly.

All of the supplies I used to create my card are listed below.  I love seeing your creations so if you try this card out, I’d love to see what you’ve made!

Butterfly Basics and Elegant Eggplant

I am so happy that the stamp set I used for my card today – Butterfly Basics – will be in the new catalog!  I was inspired by Dawn Griffith’s card in the First Fridays Blog Hop last week and decided to try my hand at creating a card which focuses on  one color.  I tend to like bright, colorful cards so this was something new for me.

I love purple and the Elegant Eggplant card stock is one of my favorites but sometimes the ink can look a bit too dark.  So, before stamping onto my Whisper White card stock, I stamped off onto a piece of white computer paper.  The color that I achieved doing this was exactly what I wanted.

All of my stamped images are from the Butterfly Basics set, including the sentiment!  I randomly stamped around the paper and then added the sentiment towards the bottom using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added pearls to the center of the flowers and the butterflies.  I normally don’t use a product that you can’t purchase but I did make this exception.  Our Basic Pearls are no longer available but they will be back in the new catalog, just reconfigured (I haven’t seen them yet but I believe the sizes of the pearls will be different).

If you have this stamp set and give this a try, I’d love to hear from you and see the card you created!

All of the products I used to make my card are listed below!

I’ll be back with another card using this set tomorrow!

Free 2017-2019 In Color Chart

It’s always hard to say goodbye to colors that you love (Cucumber Crush) but it’s so much fun to have new colors to play with! The new 2017-2019 In Colors are:

Berry Burst

Lemon Lime Twist

Tranquil Tide

Fresh Fig

Powder Pink

I purchased the Eastern Beauty Bundle which included Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide.  Demonstrators were able to preorder a few select products last week and I put my order in for Berry Burst and Powder Pink.  I think Berry Burst will be my favorite!

Below you’ll find a great chart that lists many color combinations using the new 2017-2019 In Colors .  If you’d like to print off your own copy, click here!  For best results, print it off on Whisper White  cardstock!  Which ones are you excited to try??

First Fridays Blog Hop Retiring In Colors

It’s the first Friday of the month so that means it’s time for the First Fridays Blog Hop! Our theme this month is:  Retiring In Colors.

Some of the 2015-2017 In Colors products have already sold out but the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack is still available and that’s what I used to create my bags.  There are 40 sheets in this stack with 4 each of 2 double-sided designs.  This paper, along with any products in the retiring 2015-2017 In Colors, are only available while supplies last!

To make my bags, I pulled out my Gift Bag Punch Board.  This tool makes it so easy to make a lot of bags in a short amount of time!  Each bag was created using paper from this retiring paper stack.  The fronts are decorated with a combination of paper from this paper stack as well as cardstock which is not retiring: Whisper White, Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight.

At the end of my post you’ll find a list of all the Stamping Supplies I used to create my bags!

The Gift Bag Punch Board allows you to make bags in a variety of sizes.  You can close them up – I used the Gold Binder Clips – or leave them open.  Either way works!

When making your bag, first, you need to decide if you want a small, medium or large sized bag and that will determine how you’ll cut one side of your paper.  A small bag will have a 10″ side, medium will have an 11″ side and the large will be cut at 12″.  The other measurement will be the height of your bag. Experiment and see what you like!  I made a variety of different sizes so hopefully that will give you a starting point.

Here are the dimensions I used for my bags:

Cucumber Crush (small):  10″ x 3-3/4″

Tip Top Taupe (small):  10″ x 6″

Delightful Dijon (medium):  11″ x 4-1/2″

Watermelon Wonder (large): 12″ x 5″

Mint Macaron (large):  12″ x 7″

I hope you’ll continue on the hop!  Next up is Kathie Steffke!
