Amazingly Amazing

painted petals rose red

My card today uses several more stamps from the stamp set Painted Petals. I practiced stamping the flowers on my grid paper.  I tried stamping the flowers then the stems but then I tried stems first and then the flowers which worked better for me.  I read where another demo cut her flowers apart so that she could have a little more versatility with that particular stamp.  I’m still trying to decide if I would like to do that! I’m leaning towards getting my scissors out!

My sentiment is also included in this set (there are three sentiments altogether in this set).  I’ve had so much fun with this stamp set.

My supplies are listed below and clicking on any of the pictures will take you directly to my online store.

Have a great day!

Another Joy Fold Card

joy fold blue

Today I have another Joy Fold card.  This time I embossed my side panels with Daffodil Delight cardstock instead of using Designer Series paper.  I did use the Painted Petals stamp set again and used my Pacific Point and Garden Green stamp pads.  To get the look of two different colors of blue, some of my flowers are stamped directly from the stamp pad to my paper while others are stamped onto my grid paper first and then applied to my paper.  This technique is called stamping off.  I couldn’t resist using the one of the beautiful Something Borrowed Embellishments.  If you didn’t see my post from Monday, click here to see how the card opens up.

Joy Fold Card

joy fold_edited-2

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a nice weekend and that your day has started well!

Today I have a Joy Fold card using lots of new products! You can see how the card opens up in my picture below.  I really love the watercolor effect so I think that’s why this stamp set appeals to me so much.  It’s called Painted Petals and I’ve matched it up with the Painted Blooms DSP.  The base of my card is Wild Wasabi and the insert uses my favorite In Color, Blackberry Bliss.  To hold the card closed, I used one of our beautiful shiny Something Borrowed Embellishments.  If you love bling, you’ll really like these!

Sending Wishes Your Way

star vellum

I gave this card to a friend several weeks ago when she was going back to work after a lengthy illness.  I wanted to wish her good luck as she ventured back and let her know that I was thinking of her.

I wish my card had photographed better as it is so sparkly in person but that really isn’t being picked up in the photo.

Here’s how I made the card.  First, I used the Stars Framelits to cut out the star shape on the front of the card.  I cut another star  the next size down out of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  I embossed my sentiment with silver embossing powder using Butterfly Basics from the Occasions catalog.  I used a piece of our Silver Fancy Foil Designer Series Vellum and adhered it to the base of my card by running snail adhesive along the silver stripes so that it wouldn’t be seen.  I popped my Whisper White star piece up with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well as my Dazzling Diamonds star.   Quick and easy but oh so pretty!  Thanks to Dawn Griffith for this idea!

You’ll find the products I used to make my card below.  You can visit my online store here!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a great weekend!

Mini Treat Bag Video

Yesterday I showed you several treat bags that I made using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.  Here’s a video from Stampin’ Up! showing you how to use the die, what comes with it and some fun ideas.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. Click here to also visit my online store!

Mini Treat Bag

I love the new Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies and it couldn’t be easier to create the mini treat bag using the Thinlits and your Big Shot. You can put treats, a note or a gift card inside.  I love that it will fit (opened up – see the last picture)  inside our medium envelopes!

It comes with 2 dies to make the bag and 10 more dies to add extra details.  I will admit that it has a hefty price tag but you receive so much more than just the die to create the bag.

Here’s another one where I haven’t folded the top of the bag over.

Hello You Thinlits

thanks thinlits

This is another card we made at my card class on Saturday!  It uses the new Hello You Thinlits Dies.  In this set you also receive the words happy, you and hello. I embossed most of my piece of Whisper White with the Spring Flowers Textured Embossing Folder.  I left the lower section blank so that I could add a sentiment.  The sentiment comes from the set Choose Happiness which can be found in the big catalog.  Hello Honey isn’t a color that I normally gravitate to but this ribbon is so pretty!  I finished the card with three rhinestones underneath the sentiment.

Here’s a purchase for some of the items to make this card that would make you eligible to receive a free product from the Saleabration catalog:

Hello You Thinlit Dies #137363   $24.95

Spring Flowers Embossing Folder #137784  $10.95

Hello Honey Quilted Ribbon #137864  $6.95

Whisper White cardstock #100730  $8.50

Total:  $51.35  (before shipping/tax)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Note:  It’s so funny how things just pop into your head at the most strange times.  As I was waking up this morning it dawned on me that I did not use the Quilted Cotton Ribbon on this card as noted below.  I used our 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon in Hello Honey  #133671  $8.95.  Sorry for any confusion this might have caused.
