My Swaps

swap 2

Today I have two more swaps that I made for Convention.  I really like how two of our NEW In Colors, Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon, look together.  So pretty!  I used the Moonlight DSP Stack to create my flowers.  Any idea how I made them?  I used the Heart punch!  I punched 8 hearts, folded them in half and then attached them to a 1 3/4″ circle. Pretty easy to make.  Because there are so many different designs in the Moonlight DSP Stack, there are many possible combinations that you can create!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Did you know that Stampin’ Up! sells prescored and precut card bases?  If you don’t want to bother with cutting your cardstock in half and then scoring each sheet, you can buy them already done for you!  You have two options:  an assortment of In Color colors or a single color (there are 8 different single color packs to choose from).  There are 20 cards in a pack and each piece of cardstock will measure  5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and will be scored at 4 1/4″.

When the Holiday Catalog debuts on August 28th, there will be four additional colors to choose from.  Here’s what is available now.  If you would like to see more detail on each product, just click on the picture and you’ll be taken to my online store!

Kinda Eclectic

Today I have several more Make & Takes from Convention!  There are two versions:  the first one is a cute card just as is and the second one is a stepped up version.  Linen thread, a vellum butterfly and the honeycomb effect have been added. You don’t need a Big Shot to create the honeycomb effect.  I inked up the embossing folder with my stamp pad, slipped the paper inside and just tapped on it all over.  Did you notice that the envelope behind the second one has some stamping on it too?

Which one do you prefer?  Personally, I like the first one but I would add some rhinestones to the butterfly and in the center of each flower.  I have to admit that this stamp set was not on my wish list.  It was given to Convention goers and I really like it!  The leaves are just beautiful and I definitely see more cards with this set in my future!

Kraft Grid Journals

One of our new products in the Annual Catalog are the Kraft Grid Journals.  I saw them used in different ways at Convention!  This was a Make and Take that all Convention goers were able to make.  It could be used for just about anything:  in your purse for quick notes, shopping list, journal . . . ..

I attended a class one evening at Convention called Stamps, Paper, Ink.  I learned many different techniques using, yes, you guessed it, stamps, paper and ink!  We made this little book to jot our ideas down!

If you can think of a different way to use our journals,  let me know in the comment section above!

Prize Patrol at Convention

A very fun part of Convention is Prize Patrol! Each person is given an armband to wear with a Stampin’ Up! color written on it.  My color this year was Rose Red.   I was so excited (and shocked) that they called my color!  Look at the prize I won (it’s a sneak peek of the Holiday Catalog)!!!
