Today’s card is another version of the card I made HERE. I wanted to use a lighter piece of cardstock for my larger oval so that the paper piercing would be easier to see. We made this card yesterday at my Sale-a-bration Kickoff party. Although you can’t see it on this card, but you can on the other version, I glued one butterfly down and then attached the top one with glue dots. One of my stampers yesterday used the other side of the punched butterfly to glue down and then the opposite side for the top butterfly. It looked really cute!

I had a Spring Catalog and Sale-a-bration Kickoff today at my home. It was a great group of women and I enjoyed having them over to make cards!! Here’s one of the cards we made. It starts off with a piece of 4 1/4 x 11 inch piece of paper which is then scored at 3″ and 8″. Then the two side panels fold in. The little curly label shape with the heart has adhesive on one side so that the left side stays closed! With a $50 order, you would be able to receive the cute Petite Curly Label punch absoulutely FREE!! Or if you wanted the Pretty Petites stamp instead, you could get that FREE. My card today makes me smile. I love all of the bright colors and it almost looks good enough to eat! My inspiration came from Stamp Academy, an online membership site that I joined.
My sentiment is not exactly where I wanted it to go. After I inked up my stamp pad and stamped, I touched my card and realized I still had ink on my hand which of course landed on my card, right near the very bottom of the card. The decision where to put my sentiment was made. I fanned out the scallop ovals so that it was good and covered. I have to say that I like the look and will probably try it again!! There are no mistakes when you are stamping!

I’m loving the combination of Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder so I decided to try using these colors for my butterfly. This is a new stamp in the Spring catalog called Swallowtail. I used Versamark to stamp my butterfly onto Whisper White cardstock. Then I sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I added color using my sponge daubers. I decided to cut it out so that I wouldn’t have to be super careful with my sponging but next time I want to try it directly on Whisper White. I’ve seen many demonstrators using black embossing powder but I didn’t have any. I am happy with the effect the white gives!
My cute sentiment is a stamp set you can receive FREE with a $50 order. It is called Pretty Petites and I used the Petite Curly Label punch which is another FREEBIE!!! It is popped up with dimensionals onto a piece of Pool Party punched out with the 1 1/4 inch Scallop Circle (still available from the Holiday catalog).

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Tonight my daughter Erin, son-in-law, and beautiful granddaughter are arriving for a visit! I am so excited that I’m jumping out of my skin!! It’s also Erin’s 30th birthday today. I can hardly believe that she is 30. Time flies by, doesn’t it? My other daughter, Jenny, will be coming for a visit this weekend too. We also made this bag at my Hostess Club yesterday. It is such a cute little size. You could put candy in it but for the person who really doesn’t like candy (or is trying to stay away from it), you could make several 3×3 cards and envelopes to tuck inside. Tomorrow I will have a 3×3 card that you could make to match the bag. The inspiration for my bag came from Angie Juda. She made one at Christmas time and I thought it would be perfect with our new More Amore DSP.

Sorry for my absence the last few days. I’ve been working on planning for my clubs and a Customer Reward Extravaganza. Plus, I’ve been doing Spring cleaning a bit early. It’s great when you are in the mood to just get rid of things cluttering your closets and house. It feels great!!

I love this card. In person it is so bright and cheerful!! I used three new products from the Spring Catalog. First, I used the Ovals Collection Framelits for my large Scalloped Oval and the smaller one. I pierced holes around each of the scallops with the new Occasions Paper Piercing Pack. It is somewhat difficult to see the holes on the Rich Razzleberry and I would suggest using a lighter color. Before I made this card I practiced on a lighter color and it was very easy to see. The smaller butterfly is one of our new punches, isn’t it cute?? It’s called Bitty Butterfly. For each butterfly, I punched out two. I glued one down onto my Whisper White oval and then used glue dots just down the center of each one for a 3D effect. I finished the card off with some pearls down the center of each butterfly and below my greeting.
