I have a card to share with you today, on World Cardmaking Day, but first I wanted to reach out to one of my customers. I received a No Contact order yesterday. When this option is chosen you’d prefer that I not reach out to you. I completely respect this decision but on numerous occasions when this has happened, the person ordering didn’t realize they had chosen this option. If you placed an order yesterday morning and didn’t mean to choose No Contact (and haven’t received a thank you from me yet), please contact me. Simply click the Email Me button on the right.
I don’t normally post on Saturday but how could I pass up sharing a card on World Cardmaking Day? People all over the world are making cards to celebrate! Will you be creating a card to send to someone? It’s amazing how you can brighten someone’s day just by sending a card and letting them know you are thinking of them!
Today’s card was made using Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper which is one of the papers on sale this month! I started with a base of Crumb Cake cardstock and then added another layer of Crumb Cake that I embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. The banner was created using the Triple Banner punch and Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. The sentiment was stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White cardstock using the stamp set, Gather Together and was cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies.
The Bumblebee & Blackberry Bliss leaves were cut out using the Gathered Leaves Dies. Don’t you love the embossing on the leaves? This isn’t an extra step! When you run the leaves through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, the leaves will also be embossed! Gotta love that (and I do!). You can find all the measurements I used below the Supply List.

My favorite tool is my tweezers! I use them for many things
I love my paper snips.
There’s nothing like a sharp pair of paper snips! Thanks Kathy!
My favorite tool is my Big Shot embossing machine. I love texture in cards.
Me too, Kim! I can’t imagine crafting without my die cutting machine!
Joyce, I’ve never had good luck using my tweezers. You’ve inspired me to pull them out and keep at it!
my favorite is the adhesive mat. So helpful in keeping the snail adhesive and liquid glue off my work space. Second would be the Take your pick tool. Multi use.
You bring up some great points, Patti! I need to remember to pull my adhesive mat out and use it! I love my Take Your Pick tool too.
The Stamparatus
Roberta, I agree, it’s a wonderful tool!
My favorite tool to craft with is the cut and emboss machine. I use it on a daily basis and do not know what I would do without it! It is so versatile and user friendly.
I’m right there with you, Sharon! I don’t think I’d enjoy cardmaking as much as I do if I didn’t have my Cut & Emboss Machine.
My favorite crafting tool is my paper trimmer. Thanks for the chance to win.
You’re welcome Kevin. My paper trimmer is in my top ten!
my favorite tool is my paper trimmer. I’D BE LOST WITHOUT IT.
So true! I never thought about my paper trimmer, but yes, it’s one of my top tools!
Definitely the new Cut & Emboss Machine! I LOVE it!
I’m so glad you’re loving yours, Nancy! I love mine too!
My scoring board. Before I had one I would buy ready made cards but the base was always white and size the same. Now I have all kinds of options..,colors/sizes to make my cards more appealing!
That’s great, Pat! So many possibilities!
I love my Big Shot. It provides a creative outlet to use the framelets and embossing folders for a variety of beautiful backgrounds and textures. Haven’t gotten the new one yet but it is on my list!!
For me, it’s the Stamparatus! Just about everything I do is a little bit crooked, and at least, this way, I know my stamps will be straight!!
I love the Big Shot … loving all the cuts and embossing folders for added dimension to cards.
It’s not sexy but my bone folder! From crisp edges to used as scoring tool (on trimmer track or ruler) to applying slight rub down pressure on adhesive to helping hold down paper while heat embossing and so on and so on! Love my BF
Stamparatus would be mine if I had it. I like that you can restamp if it didn’t print correctly the first time.
So I would say scissors would be my best tool.
Great card idea. Thanks for sharing.
