Daisy Lane Bundle

Today’s fun fold card features a brand new punch, a new stamp set and a coordinating punch that carried over into the new Annual Catalog.  We now have two daisy punches! The brand new one is the Medium Daisy Punch and the Daisy Punch carried over from last year.

For the base of the card I used a brand new In Color, Seaside Spray, a new embossing folder called Eyelet Lace, new 6″ x 6″ In Color 2019-2012 Designer Series Paper and the new stamp set, Daisy Lane  It’s so fun playing with new products!

Directions to Make Today’s Card

  • Cut a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock that measures 4-1/4″ x 9-1/2″ and score at 5-1/2″.
  • Cut a piece of In Color 2019-2021 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper that measures 4″ x 3-3/4″.  Adhere it to the top part of the card base.
  • Cut a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock that measures 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″.  Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″.  Run it through a die-cutting machine using the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder.  Attach it to the piece of Seaside Spray. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and attach to the front of the card.
  • Using the Daisy punch and the stamp set, Daisy Lane, stamp two daisies on Whisper White cardstock using Seaside Spray ink.  Stamp another smaller daisy, also from Daisy Lane and punch it out using the new Medium Daisy punch.  Layer all three daisies using Stampin’ Dimensionals (I used Mini Dimensionals for the small daisy).  Add a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back and attach to the front of the card.
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 5-1/4″ x 4″.  Glue it to the inside of the card.  Using the Daisy Lane stamp set, stamp “Friend” in Seaside Spray ink.
  • Add a Clear Faceted Gem to the center of the daisy.

How to Use Our New Dies & Embossing Folders

It’s Tuesday and normally you’d find a free tutorial here but last Friday as I was trying to work ahead and prepare today’s post, I accidentally hit publish instead of save.  You should have seen me talking (yelling) at my computer – nooooooo!  Once you send a post off, no amount of yelling will make it come back!  Ha, ha!!  As I’m writing this, I have a big post-it-note on my computer screen so I won’t accidentally click publish! Never a dull moment!

If you missed the tutorial I posted on Friday, you can access it here! The tutorial is for the card pictured below.

Today I have a great video for you from Stampin’ Up!  As you know, the Big Shot has retired and Stampin’ Up! is now using a new supplier for their dies and embossing folders. Unfortunately some of the embossing folders in the catalog are not yet available because we’re waiting for them to arrive in the Stampin’ Up! warehouse. I’ll post when all of our embossing folders are available for purchase. Thank you for your patience!!!

Our new dies and embossing folders are made differently and need to be used a little differently than we’re used to.  In fact, a brand new product called the 3D Embossing Folder Plate was just released last week to help with using our 3D embossing folders. You can’t find this product in our new catalog but if you click here, you can see it at my Stampin’ Up! online store.

The video below will explain how our dies are different than our previous dies and how to use the embossing folders.  I highly recommend you watch it so you’ll achieve the best results from your dies and embossing folders! George will also show you how to use the 3D Embossing Folder Plate.

Saying Goodbye to Retiring Embossing Folders

For the next few weeks I’m highlighting retiring products that have been a staple in my craft room and today it’s all about embossing folders. If you missed yesterday’s post on the Envelope Punch Board, click here

If you follow my blog, you know I love creating with embossing folders.  An embossed piece of cardstock completely changes the look of a card! My Top Three retiring, favorite embossing folders are:

Below are cards I’ve shown previously on my blog.  Please note that some of the products on the cards, such as Designer Series Paper, stamps and embellishments are no longer available but with each card you’ll get a good idea what the embossing folder looks like after it’s gone through the Big Shot. If you’d like more information about each card, please click on the picture and you’ll be directed to that blog post.
