It’s time for the Glitter Queens Blog Hop and this month it’s all about men! I have to admit, it was REALLY hard for me to come up with a card suitable for a man. Ever since I lost my dad almost ten years ago, I just haven’t been able to make a Father’s Day card. I’ve made cards for my husband but I usually sneak in some feminine touches. It’s so hard not to add a rhinestone or two!!!
I tend to give my brother in law gift cards so I made my cards today with him in mind! I made a video last year showing how to create this type of gift card holder which you can view here! (Please note: many of the products in the video have retired).
Both cards were made using our brand new Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. There’s so much versatility in this pack of paper! I also used the stamp set Broadway Birthday and the Stitched Rectangle Dies. All the supplies I used can be found in the Supply List below.
Did you notice the black dots on Hooray in my second card? You may have thought I painstakingly drew them in but I didn’t! The stamp to do the dots is included in the Broadway Birthday stamp set along with another one for the word, Wish! Genius! It’s a photopolymer stamp set so it’s SUPER easy to see where you’re stamping the dots!

You nailed it! Way to take a “feminine” designer paper and make a masculine card with it! 🙂 Dee
Amazing Card love all of it!!!!
Wow – you brought more attention to that DSP. I would not have thought masculine, but that is why I love seeing all the group’s projects. Tons of “think outside the box” ideas!
LOVE everything about this project!!!
