Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper

Today’s card features Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and the Poinsettia Dies. Feels Like Frost debuted last year in the Holiday Catalog and I was so happy when Stampin’ Up! decided to bring it back. One side of the paper features photographic images and on the other side, beautiful silver foil.

Feels Like Frost Stampin Up

Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper

I started with a base of Thick Whisper White cardstock and then added layers of Silver Foil and Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. The poinsettia was created using our Poinsettia Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Not only do these dies cut out the shape of the poinsettia but it embosses as well!

I layered the pieces of the Poinsettia using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added Mini Glue Dots to the back of the Beaded Pearl before adhering it to the center of the Poinsettia.

Poinsettia Dies Stampin Up

I was going to add a sentiment to the front but there really wasn’t much room to add one so I decided it was fine without one. If I were to make this card again, I’d turn the orientation of the card and add the poinsettia closer to the top of the Designer Series Paper and then add a sentiment below.

Today’s card features the stamp sets Warm & Toasty and Banner Year along with the Woodland Embossing Folder

Stampin Up Banner Year

I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock and using one of the larger dies in the Layering Ovals Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I made an opening.  Then I placed it inside the Woodland Embossing Folder and ran it through my die-cutting machine.  It’s important to do these steps in this order.  If you emboss first and then cut the opening, your embossing will be flattened.

Next, I stamped my reindeer in Memento Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and then colored him using Real Red & Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. On the back of the embossed piece, I added adhesive all around the outside edges of the opening and then placed the reindeer piece over it (if you like to fussy cut, it would look really cute to cut him out and then add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back). I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the embossed piece and adhered it to my Thick Whisper White card base

Warm & Toasty

I wanted to use a sentiment in the Warm & Toasty stamp set but there wasn’t enough space below the opening so I used a smaller sentiment in the stamp set, Banner Year. I stamped it in Versamark ink onto Whisper White cardstock using Stampin’ Emboss Powder in Silver. If you’ve never heat embossed, and you really should because it’s so much fun, I have directions below on how to do it. So easy!

I cut the sentiment out using our Rectangle Stitched Dies and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and added it to the front of the card.

Banner Year Stampin Up

How to Heat Emboss

Prepare your cardstock by rubbing an anti-static pouch (Stampin’ Up! no longer carries this product but it’s a must when embossing) over the surface as it helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder.  Stamp your sentiment or image using a Versamark pad. This is very sticky ink and your embossing powder will stick right to it.  Sprinkle embossing powder over the stamped image.  Shake off any excess.  Before applying heat to your paper, heat the Heat Tool first so the paper won’t warp (about 10 seconds). Direct the heat over your image and watch as your sentiment is transformed!

Stampin’ Up! Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch

Today’s card features the So Sentimental Bundle and the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. The So Sentimental Bundle (bundles always save you 10%) includes the So Sentimental stamp set and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (one of my favorite set of dies).

So Sentimental Bundle

This is a fun layout and you’ll get a completely different look by just changing up the papers.  I used Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper and Garden Green cardstock which I ran through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder

Stampin Up Plaid Tidings

The base of the card is Thick Whisper White cardstock with a layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock. The punched pieces were adhered to a piece of our regular Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment was stamped using Pretty Peacock ink and was cut out with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment before adhering it to the front of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Pine Tree Punch

Today’s card features the Stampin’ Up! Pine Tree Punch and Classic Christmas 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

I started with a base of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then added a layer of Shaded Spruce cardstock. The sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the stamp set, Wrapped in Christmas. Then a piece of Classic Christmas 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper was adhered to the top. Before adhering it to the card base, I wrapped a piece of 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the cardstock.

I cut three pine trees out of Silver Foil using the Pine Tree Punch.  I placed two of the trees in one of the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.  The other tree was embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of each tree and then placed the one embossed with Winter Snow down first and then placed the other two on each side.

Tuesday Tutorial on Wednesday!

It’s Wednesday but I have my Tuesday Tutorial for you today.

I took a few days off because on Monday, my daughter, Jenny, married her best friend, Mike!! We planned a big wedding in March with friends and family but sadly, it had to be canceled due to Coronavirus.  We were able to postpone the wedding to September (because the virus would be over and done with by then, right?) but in July, the venue had a catastrophic fire so date number two was cancelled.  Jenny & Mike didn’t want to wait for the pandemic to be over before they could get married so they planned wedding #3 with just immediate family and they took great care to make sure the ceremony and reception would be social distanced and responsible. Several weeks before the wedding was to take place, our county went into the purple tier because of increased Coronavirus cases and yes, we had to cancel, again.  At the last minute, they were able to find another venue in a different county and they were married! It was a gorgeous wedding and there was such joy on both of their faces. I couldn’t be happier for the two of them!!  Here’s a picture of the happy couple!

I started with a base of Shaded Spruce cardstock and then added layers of Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.  Before adhering the Whisper White cardstock, I placed it inside the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine

Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper

The Classic Christmas 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper was cut out with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. I really enjoying using punches and am thrilled that Stampin’ Up! keeps adding more to their product lineup!

Stampin’ Up! So Many Snowflakes Dies

In the last few months, I’ve received several No Contact orders which means that the customer would prefer I not contact them.  Please know that I always send a thank you via email for any orders placed through me and that I’m very appreciative.  If you’ve placed an order and have NOT received a thank you and didn’t realize you chose No Contact, please contact me. On to today’s card!

Today’s card features the stamp set, Wrapped in Christmas and the So Many Snowflakes Dies.

Snowflake Splendor Stampin Up

So Many Snowflakes Dies

I started with a base of Pool Party cardstock with a layer of Whisper White cardstock that was cut using the So Many Snowflakes Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.  I love how the die, cuts an opening in the paper with pretty stitching and snowflakes!

Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper

I added a piece of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper behind the opening before adhering the Whisper White cardstock to the card base. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink using the stamp set Wrapped in Christmas and then embossed with Silver Embossing Powder (see directions for heat embossing below). I cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Dies and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Wrapped in Christmas Stampin Up

Using the So Many Snowflakes Dies, I cut two snowflakes out of Silver Foil (I rolled up several Mini Glue Dots into balls to attach them).  It was a fun card to make and really quick and easy!

How to Heat Emboss

Prepare your cardstock by rubbing an anti-static pouch over the surface (this helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder).
