Before sharing today’s card, Stampin’ Up! issued a statement today about backorders. You can read it below:
As you may have heard reported in the news, unprecedented shipping and logistics issues have resulted in a global supply chain crisis. This is affecting businesses world-wide and Stampin’ Up! is no exception. Due to extreme difficulties caused by these issues, starting 1 December 2021, Stampin’ Up! will no longer take orders for products that are not in stock. In other words, Stampin’ Up! will no longer accept backorders. This change will help to reduce frustrations from unpredictable product availability and allow you to order products that will be delivered right away, rather than products that may not be delivered for months. All current orders that include backordered product will still be fulfilled as soon as inventory becomes available
If you want to know the status of a product, you can use the online store to check product availability. If you’re looking for a specific item, enter it into the search box (item code is generally the most effective way to search). If the item is not available for order, you will see the product, but it will say that it is currently unavailable and there will be no ADD TO CART button.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Today’s Card
I love taking a card design I’ve used before and changing it up with different paper and cardstock. If today’s card looks familiar it’s because I used this same design last week but it wasn’t holiday themed. You can see last week’s card here.
Today’s card features Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper and the stamp set Christmas to Remember. I usually like making holiday cards with very traditional colors but I have to admit I’ve enjoyed using the colors in this Designer Series Paper!
I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock for the card base. Then I added a layer of Polished Pink and Mint Macaron cardstock (you can find all the measurements below). I embossed the Mint Macaron using one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders. The next layer is Polished Pink cardstock with Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper.
I heat embossed the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using the stamp set Christmas to Remember (you can find the directions for heat embossing farther down in the post) and layered it onto another piece of Polished Pink cardstock. I added one Stampin’ Dimensional to the back of a Wonderful Snowflake and adhered it above the sentiment. The finishing touch was adding a silver snowflake to the center that was made using the So Many Snowflakes Dies and our Silver Foil.
How to Heat Emboss
Prepare your cardstock by rubbing an anti-static pouch over the surface of the paper as it helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder (Stampin’ Up! no longer carries this product but it’s a must when embossing). Stamp your sentiment or image using a Versamark pad. This is very sticky ink and your embossing powder will stick right to it. Sprinkle embossing powder over the stamped image and then shake off any excess. Before applying heat to your paper, heat the Heat Tool first so the paper won’t warp (about 10 seconds). Direct the heat over your image and watch as your image is transformed!

Today’s card features the super cute Sweet Little Stockings Bundle (when you purchase a bundle, you save 10%) which includes the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set and the Stockings Dies.
I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock for the card base. Then I added a piece of Basic Gray cardstock layered with a piece of Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper. I added another layer of Basic Gray cardstock with a piece of Basic White cardstock that I embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.
I used the Stockings Dies to cut two stockings out of Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper and used Basic White cardstock for the top of the stockings. I stamped the kitty, presents and candy cane in Memento Ink and then colored them using these Stampin’ Blends: Smoky Slate, Real Red and Shaded Spruce. I then cut them out using the Stockings Dies.
I glued the bottom half of the kitty to one stocking and then added glue to the front of the presents and candy cane and placed them so they look like they are tucked into the stocking. I added glue to each stocking and adhered them to the front of the card. When I was making the card, I went back and forth as to whether to adhere them using Stampin’ Dimensionals and I think next time, I will. I heat embossed (see the directions below for heat embossing) the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Versamark ink and the stamp set Holly Jolly Wishes and then cut it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it on the card. You can find the measurements I used below the Supply List.

Today’s free PDF tutorial features Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper, Layering Circles Dies and one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders. I heat embossed the sentiment using the stamp set, Encircled in Warmth. by Tracy | Oct 25, 2021 | Card Sampler, Designer Series Paper, Die-Cutting, Fun Fold Card, Heat Embossing, Layering Circles Dies
I always love when a card opens in a different way and my book binding card today is super easy to make!
I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock (you can find the measurements I used below the Supply List) and scored it in two places. Then I folded the card in half and then folded the other piece back (see the picture below).
I put Tear & Tape on the small section (I like using Tear & Tape but any strong adhesive will work). I then folded the piece over towards the right and this creates the book biding look.
I added Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper to the large front panel and the panel on the left. I used our 1-1/2″ Metallic Mesh Ribbon and tied it around the left side. Since I used a heavy duty adhesive, the ribbon is purely decorative. This mesh ribbon is gorgeous with all the silver running through it .You could even use this to wrap presents!
I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and a larger, scalloped circle out of Silver Foil. On the Basic White cardstock, I embossed the sentiment using the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set, Versamark ink, Silver Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool. Embossing is so easy to do and I really think it makes a card look so elegant. If you’ve never embossed before, I have directions below. I adhered the sentiment to the Silver Foil and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Silver Foil circle and adhered it to the front of the card.

by Tracy | Aug 12, 2021 | Embossing Folders, Heat Embossing
Today’s card was created using our Blending Brushes and the stamp set, Shaded Summer. This stamp set is currently on backorder but is estimated to be back in stock the week of August 23rd. As of today, it can still be added to your cart and when it’s in stock, Stampin’ Up! will mail it to you (the rest of your order will ship as usual).
I started with a base of Thick Basic White cardstock and then added a layer of our regular Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Animal Print Embossing Folder. Next, I stamped the flowers from Shaded Summer using Versamark ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. I then heat embossed the image using white embossing powder from our Basics Embossing Powders set and our Heat Tool (you can find more detailed instructions for embossing farther down in the post). I also heat embossed the sentiment using the stamp set Artistically Inked.
Next, using one of our Blending Brushes, I blended Flirty Flamingo ink over the cardstock until I had the color I wanted. When I was done, I took a soft tissue and wiped over all the embossed parts to take off any ink that might have been sitting on top. To complete the card, I added five of our new Subtle Shimmer Sequins to the card front using Multipurpose Glue. The sequin at the bottom of the stem was added because some of my embossing powder collected there so I hid it with a sequin.

This event will take place for one day only on November 24th and you’ll save 10% on almost everything in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. Get your lists ready and order early on the 24th!
Details
- Sale begins at 12:01 am (Mountain Time) on Tuesday, November 24th
- Sale ends at 11:50 pm (Mountain Time) on Tuesday, November 24th
There are some exclusions and you can see everything not included in the sale HERE.
Today’s card features the stamp sets Warm & Toasty and Banner Year along with the Woodland Embossing Folder.
I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock and using one of the larger dies in the Layering Ovals Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I made an opening. Then I placed it inside the Woodland Embossing Folder and ran it through my die-cutting machine. It’s important to do these steps in this order. If you emboss first and then cut the opening, your embossing will be flattened.
Next, I stamped my reindeer in Memento Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and then colored him using Real Red & Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. On the back of the embossed piece, I added adhesive all around the outside edges of the opening and then placed the reindeer piece over it (if you like to fussy cut, it would look really cute to cut him out and then add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back). I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the embossed piece and adhered it to my Thick Whisper White card base
I wanted to use a sentiment in the Warm & Toasty stamp set but there wasn’t enough space below the opening so I used a smaller sentiment in the stamp set, Banner Year. I stamped it in Versamark ink onto Whisper White cardstock using Stampin’ Emboss Powder in Silver. If you’ve never heat embossed, and you really should because it’s so much fun, I have directions below on how to do it. So easy!
I cut the sentiment out using our Rectangle Stitched Dies and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and added it to the front of the card.
How to Heat Emboss
Prepare your cardstock by rubbing an anti-static pouch (Stampin’ Up! no longer carries this product but it’s a must when embossing) over the surface as it helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder. Stamp your sentiment or image using a Versamark pad. This is very sticky ink and your embossing powder will stick right to it. Sprinkle embossing powder over the stamped image. Shake off any excess. Before applying heat to your paper, heat the Heat Tool first so the paper won’t warp (about 10 seconds). Direct the heat over your image and watch as your sentiment is transformed!
