Today we’re going to talk about embossing folders!
If you haven’t used an embossing folder before, it transforms your paper and adds beautiful texture and dimension. Simply add paper to the inside of the folder, run it through the Big Shot and be amazed!
Stampin’ Up! currently has 28 embossing folders to choose from and there are two different types: standard and dynamic. The standard embossing folders have been around for a long time and the folders are thin. The 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions folders are relatively new and are much thicker which helps to create a deeper impression in the paper.
The video below showcases a brand new folder in the Holiday 2018 Catalog, the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. If you aren’t familiar with our embossing folders, watch the video below to see what they can do to a plain piece of paper. Then come back and I’ll share the “sandwich” you’ll use for the different folders.
I made today’s card for a challenge given to me by my team leader, Dawn. Each week she creates a card sketch for us to try. When the layout speaks to me, I create! (more…)
I needed a quick card this morning so I used this layout here and just changed up the paper and colors. I used Garden Impressions Designer Series Paperwhich comes in 6″ x 6″ sheets. You can make two cards out of one sheet and use the leftover paper to jazz up the inside. The Melon Mambo piece of cardstock went through the Big Shot using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. The roses are a bit bold so I thought this folder went nicely with it, soft and subtle. Night of Navy cardstock was used for the base, underneath the Designer Series Paper and underneath the sentiment. (more…)
This is the project and video I had hoped to share with you on Friday! All week long I’ve shared ideas using the Seasonal Tag Framelits and the coordinating stamp set, Seasonal Chums. You can make tags or cut apart the tags as I’ve done and just use the front of the main images in the set (snowman, reindeer, and pumpkin).(more…)
Due to technical difficulties, I don’t have the video ready for today’s project. I’m going to try one more time to film and edit it so hopefully I’ll be able to post it at some point today but if not, I hope to have it tomorrow. In the meantime, here’s a little sneak peek!
All week long I’ve been sharing ways to use the Seasonal Tags Framelits Diesand the matching stamp set, Seasonal Chums. Below are the projects from this week. For more information on each one, click the image and you’ll be directed to that blog post. (more…)
I wasn’t able to finish the video I had planned for today so I’ll be sharing that project tomorrow. Today I’m sharing a Stampin’ Up! project (you can find it in the Annual Catalog on page 103) and another project I made last year, both using two products I’ve featured all week long, the Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies and Seasonal Chums stamp set.
My project today uses Stampin’ Up! Acetate Card Boxes along with the two products I’ve been spotlighting all week: Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies and the Seasonal Chums stamp set. A set of cards and envelopes fit perfectly inside these Acetate Card Boxes but candy works too!! These Reese’s Peanut Butter Eyeballs look very spooky! (more…)
This week I’m featuring the Seasonal Tags Framelits & the Seasonal Chums stamp set. Yesterday I used the reindeer from the set and if you missed that card, you can see it here. Today, it’s all about the little snowman!(more…)
All week long I’ll be using the Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies to create cute projects along with the matching stamp set, Seasonal Chums. The images in this set are so darn cute and when you have dies that cut them out, wow, what a time saver!
Hello there and Happy Sunday! I don’t usually post on the weekend but I wanted to let you know that Stampin’ Up! is having a Paper Pumpkin Flash Sale starting tomorrow and it’s only while supplies last! Plus, it’s the last day of the World Card Making Day sale!
Earlier this week new Stamparatus Accessories debuted: extra plates, small grid paper and a foam mat. Stampin’ Up! has just released a video showing these new products and if you aren’t sure what a Stamparatus is, Brian from the Stampin’ Up! office will show it in action! (more…)
