Here’s what you can earn with a $100 purchase:

As mentioned yesterday, I will no longer be mailing card kits with each order over $18 but I hope to bring them back in the future but in a different way. I’m still working out the details. There are several of you that I promised card kits to before I made this decision and you will still receive yours.

I have a new host code for this month! When you place a minimum $50 order and use the host code below, you’ll receive an embellishment from the new catalog (it will be a surprise). Once I close the host code on January 31st, I’ll order all the embellishments and as soon as I receive them, I’ll send them out to you which will be approximately February 15th. You must use the host code to receive your free gift if your order is under $150. If your order is $150 or more, please do not use the host code so you can receive Stampin’ Rewards (free product) directly from Stampin’ Up! You will automatically receive the free gift from me.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Conversations Bundle

It’s a brand new year and sometimes a new year brings change. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about my business and have made the decision to stop sending card kits for all orders over $18.00.  I’ve thought long and hard about this for several months and it hasn’t been an easy decision to make. I’ve heard from many of you that you love my kits and I love that you love them but I need to make a change and offer them in a different way.  I offer my Card Samplers several times a month and will offer my Card Kits from time to time. They won’t be going away completely and I’m still in the process of figuring out all the details but I wanted to let you know today about my decision. By the way, I’m in the process of designing my next Card Sampler and it will be released on January 7th.

The Stampin’ Up! January – June 2022 Mini Catalog goes live tomorrow and I have a sneak peek of some new products today!! But first, today is the last day the retiring products in the Holiday Catalog will be available.  You can see exactly which products are still available HERE.

On to today’s sneak peek project! I made a box using the new Sweet Little Boxes and the Sweet Conversations Bundle.  The boxes are so easy to assemble and can be used for any occasion!

As you can see in the picture above, the boxes already come with two strips of adhesive.  Simply use your bone folder to get a good crease on all the score lines, tear off the tape liner and pull up the sides to assemble the box.

I used our new Sweet Talk 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to give some color to the box and then wrapped our Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon around the box for another pop of color. This ribbon debuted in the Holiday catalog but isn’t retiring and will continue to be available! I used the new Sweet Hearts Dies to cut the little envelope out of Highland Heather cardstock and all the hearts were cut out with these dies. The little Luv U was stamped onto Basic White cardstock with Highland Heather ink and was stamped with the Sweet Conversations stamp set

Ever Eden Free Saturday Tutorial

Happy New Year!!!!! I hope you had an enjoyable New Year’s Eve. Mark and I stayed home, watched two movies and went to bed before the strike of midnight. We used to buy a bottle of champagne and drink it but not really enjoy it so we don’t do that any more although I was tempted to buy a bottle when I was at the grocery store yesterday. It seems so celebratory! I was so sad to hear that Betty White passed away yesterday. I’ll admit, I cried. There aren’t many actors/actresses that I would have that type of reaction to the news of their death but she seemed like a very special lady.

Here’s to 2022! I wish all of you a very Happy New Year!

It’s Saturday and I have a free tutorial for you. I love Ever Eden Designer Series Paper and this will be my last card using it since the last day it will be available is just a few days away –  January 3, 2022. I think this pack of paper is so pretty in person, especially the design I used on today’s card. Another product I used, Garden Gems, are also only available until January 3rd.

Artistically Inked Stampin Up

This is a quick and easy card to replicate. Choose a Designer Series Paper you have on hand, a coordinating color of cardstock and  ink and you can easily make this card.

You can access your free tutorial below the Supply List!

Stampin’ Up! In Symmetry

Today’s card features Stampin’ Up! Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper and the stamp set, In Symmetry.

I started with a piece of Just Jade cardstock and then added a layer of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I also added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside (you can find all the measurements I used below the Supply List). Then I added a piece of Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper to the front. The colors that coordinate with this Designer Series Paper are:

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a stem and two sets of leaves in Just Jade ink using the stamp set, In Symmetry.  I adhered this to a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it on the front of the card.

On a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flower using Calypso Coral ink.  I cut it out using Paper Snips, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it right above the stem.  I stamped the sentiment, using the stamp set In Symmetry in Calypso Coral ink and then used my Paper Snips to cut a notch out of one end. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.  To complete the card, I added six rhinestones to the flower.

Stampin’ Up! Heart & Home Designer Series Paper

Today I have a sneak peek of Heart & Home Designer Series Paper (#157928) which will debut on January 4, 2022 in the January-June Mini Catalog. If you’ve ordered from me in the last six months, I ordered a new catalog for you and had Stampin’ Up! send it to you (along with the Sale-a-Bration brochure).  I’ve heard that some people have already received it so if you haven’t, it’s on the way!

Heart & Home Designer Series Paper is part of the Heart & Home Suite. The colors that coordinate with this package of paper are:

This is a very quick and easy card to make.  The measurements are listed below the Supply List and you can see how to fold the cardstock and where to place your adhesive in a previous post HERE. After you make the base of the card, you’ll add the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper to the front and then wrap your ribbon around the smaller section. The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green ink onto Basic White cardstock using the stamp set, Flowing Flowers.  I cut it out using one of the dies from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies.  These dies were in the Holiday Mini Catalog but are being carried over and will continue to be available.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and adhered it to the front of the card. Quick and easy!

Last Day for Celebrate with Flowers

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! We did and ate way too much food but to me that’s the fun of the holidays. I made dinner for the family and baklava for dessert.  I usually only make baklava during the holidays because it’s so decadent but oh so yummy. What’s not to like about butter, sugar, cinnamon, nuts and a flaky dough? My husband and I were able to celebrate with my mom, my sister and her husband and our oldest daughter and son-in-law and this weekend we’ll be celebrating Christmas again with our youngest daughter, son-in-law and grandkids.  Something fun to look forward to. I’d love to hear about your holidays in the comments section below!

I’m popping in today to let you know that today’s the last day my Celebrate with Flowers Card Sampler will be available. You can read all the information below.

Stampin’ Up! Ever Eden Designer Series Paper

Before sharing today’s card, I wanted to let you know that I will be taking a small break to spend the holidays with my family. I’ll be back here on my blog Monday, December 27th but if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Happy Holidays to all of you!

Today’s card was created using Ever Eden Designer Series Paper and it’s only available while supplies last.  It’s so pretty in person, especially the gold accents on some of the sheets but I don’t think it shows well on a computer screen but it’s pretty in person.

The base of my card is Thick Basic White cardstock and then I added a layer of Soft Succulent cardstock that I embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (this folder is not retiring). Then I layered Basic White cardstock with a piece of Ever Eden Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped a piece of 3/8″ Open Weave ribbon in Soft Succulent around the piece before adding Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhering it to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink using the stamp set Eden’s Garden and then cut it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies. I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut a larger circle out of Soft Succulent cardstock and then layered the two pieces together.  I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it to the right of the ribbon. You can find all the measurements I used below the Supply List.

Last Minute Gift Card Holders

If you need a last minute gift card holder, then I have a very quick and easy one for you. I’ve made three or four of these in the last few days (yes, I’m very behind) and I’m sharing two of them today. I like to place these gift card holders in a box and then wrap it up or simply tie some ribbon around the envelope.

You’ll need to start with a piece of cardstock that measures 11″ x 4-1/4″ and score at 2-1/2″ and 5-1/2″. Fold on the score lines and then add adhesive to make the pocket where the gift card (or cash) will go. The picture shows a notch on the left side, but don’t do that until you’ve adhered the Designer Series Paper which I’ll explain below.  I wanted a strong adhesive and prefer to use Tear & Tape.

You’ll first need to add a piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to the front of the pocket (the other side of the piece where you added the adhesive). THEN, use the Layering Circles Dies to cut a notch so the recipient can easily pull out the cash or gift card. I used my retired 1″ Circle Punch but the Layering Circles Dies will work too. Now you’ll peel off the liner of the Tear & Tape and fold it towards the right, to make the pocket.

Next, add a panel of of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to the front of the card and the inside panel  You’ll also add a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside. We’re almost done!  The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White cardstock using Evening Evergreen ink and the stamp set, Christmas to Remember (this stamp set isn’t retiring – yay!!!!). I cut the sentiment out using the Seasonal Labels Dies (also, NOT retiring) and cut a larger one out of Soft Succulent cardstock.  I layered the two pieces together and then on the back (on the right-hand side only) I added Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered it to the front of the card. Easy and so cute! You can find all the measurements I used below the Supply List.

Here’s another gift card holder using Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper (retiring), Pear Pizzazz cardstock, Cherry Cobbler ink, the stamp set Perfectly Plaid and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies

Measurements

  • Base of Card:  11″ x 4-1/4″  score at 2-1/2″ & 5-1/2″
  • Cardstock the Color of the Base (piece layered with the sentiment): approx. 3-3/4″ x 2-1/4″
  • Designer Series Paper (front and inside left panel):  (2) 4″ x 2-3/4″
  • Designer Series Paper (pocket):  4″ x 2-1/4″

Stampin’ Up! Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper

Happy Friday!

Before sharing today’s card I want to let you know about a change I’m making. I will still continue to post a free tutorial each week but you’ll see the tutorial on Saturdays from now on.  The card will be posted on Friday but the free tutorial will be posted on Saturday. I will give you the measurements on Friday but the full tutorial with pictures and directions will be posted the following day. Because Christmas is next Saturday, I won’t be posting a tutorial next week but will resume on Saturday, January 1, 2022.

Today’s card features Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper and the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder

I started with a base of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and then added a layer of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder.  Next, I added another layer of Cinnamon Cider cardstock with Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper.

I used Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper to cut out the leaves and pot using the Perfect Plants Dies. I love that several of the sheets of this paper have images that you can easily die-cut (or cut out by hand). How easy is that??  I stamped the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider ink in the far right-hand corner of a piece of Basic White cardstock using the stamp set, Love of Leaves and then layered it onto a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the pot and used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the leaves and adhered them to the sentiment piece.  I added three Genial Gems around the leaves. These gems are perfect with Cinnamon Cider cardstock.

To complete the card, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside.  I’ll have the tutorial for you tomorrow but you’ll find the measurements below the Supply List.

Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony

We just returned home from being out of town for a few days to celebrate my mom’s 90th birthday. I feel very blessed that we were there to celebrate her big day with her. Today’s card is the birthday card I made for her and it features the stamp set, Prized Peony

I started with a base of Thick Basic White cardstock and then added a layer of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.  Normally I cut this piece down but it’s full size to cover the entire front of the card.

I stamped the peony in Memento Ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and then colored it using these Stampin’ Blends:  Fresh Freesia (Light and Dark), Highland Heather (Light) and Old Olive (Light). I COMPLETELY forgot that I have the Peony Dies and even had a conversation with myself that I didn’t feel like fussy cutting it out. I just shook my head when I spotted the dies sitting on my crafting desk.  It’s that time of year when our heads can only hold so much, right?  I did list the Peony Dies in the Supply List below even though I didn’t actually use them (but I will soon!).  I mounted the peony onto a piece of Highland Heather cardstock, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.

To color the peony using my Stampin’ Blends, I did several petals at one time. First, I colored the entire petal with Light Fresh Freesia.  Then, I used Dark Fresh Freesia to color in the highlights (this stamp tells you where the highlights are – the very dark areas).  I went over this same area again with Light Highland Heather and then went back in with Light Fresh Freesia to blend it all in. I only used Light Old Olive for the leaves and just colored them in and then went over the darker areas a second time When I tried using Dark Old Olive, I felt it was too dark.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and then stamped the sentiment in Highland Heather ink using the stamp set Artistically Inked. I mounted it onto a piece of Highland Heather cardstock, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it below the peony. To complete the card, I added three Elegant Faceted Gems around the peony.
