If you need a last minute gift card holder, then I have a very quick and easy one for you. I’ve made three or four of these in the last few days (yes, I’m very behind) and I’m sharing two of them today. I like to place these gift card holders in a box and then wrap it up or simply tie some ribbon around the envelope.
You’ll need to start with a piece of cardstock that measures 11″ x 4-1/4″ and score at 2-1/2″ and 5-1/2″. Fold on the score lines and then add adhesive to make the pocket where the gift card (or cash) will go. The picture shows a notch on the left side, but don’t do that until you’ve adhered the Designer Series Paper which I’ll explain below. I wanted a strong adhesive and prefer to use Tear & Tape.
You’ll first need to add a piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to the front of the pocket (the other side of the piece where you added the adhesive). THEN, use the Layering Circles Dies to cut a notch so the recipient can easily pull out the cash or gift card. I used my retired 1″ Circle Punch but the Layering Circles Dies will work too. Now you’ll peel off the liner of the Tear & Tape and fold it towards the right, to make the pocket.
Next, add a panel of of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to the front of the card and the inside panel You’ll also add a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside. We’re almost done! The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White cardstock using Evening Evergreen ink and the stamp set, Christmas to Remember (this stamp set isn’t retiring – yay!!!!). I cut the sentiment out using the Seasonal Labels Dies (also, NOT retiring) and cut a larger one out of Soft Succulent cardstock. I layered the two pieces together and then on the back (on the right-hand side only) I added Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered it to the front of the card. Easy and so cute! You can find all the measurements I used below the Supply List.
Here’s another gift card holder using Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper (retiring), Pear Pizzazz cardstock, Cherry Cobbler ink, the stamp set Perfectly Plaid and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Happy Friday!
Before sharing today’s card I want to let you know about a change I’m making. I will still continue to post a free tutorial each week but you’ll see the tutorial on Saturdays from now on. The card will be posted on Friday but the free tutorial will be posted on Saturday. I will give you the measurements on Friday but the full tutorial with pictures and directions will be posted the following day. Because Christmas is next Saturday, I won’t be posting a tutorial next week but will resume on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
Today’s card features Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper and the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder.
I started with a base of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and then added a layer of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I added another layer of Cinnamon Cider cardstock with Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper.
I used Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper to cut out the leaves and pot using the Perfect Plants Dies. I love that several of the sheets of this paper have images that you can easily die-cut (or cut out by hand). How easy is that?? I stamped the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider ink in the far right-hand corner of a piece of Basic White cardstock using the stamp set, Love of Leaves and then layered it onto a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.
I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the pot and used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the leaves and adhered them to the sentiment piece. I added three Genial Gems around the leaves. These gems are perfect with Cinnamon Cider cardstock.
To complete the card, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside. I’ll have the tutorial for you tomorrow but you’ll find the measurements below the Supply List.

We just returned home from being out of town for a few days to celebrate my mom’s 90th birthday. I feel very blessed that we were there to celebrate her big day with her. Today’s card is the birthday card I made for her and it features the stamp set, Prized Peony.
I started with a base of Thick Basic White cardstock and then added a layer of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. Normally I cut this piece down but it’s full size to cover the entire front of the card.
I stamped the peony in Memento Ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and then colored it using these Stampin’ Blends: Fresh Freesia (Light and Dark), Highland Heather (Light) and Old Olive (Light). I COMPLETELY forgot that I have the Peony Dies and even had a conversation with myself that I didn’t feel like fussy cutting it out. I just shook my head when I spotted the dies sitting on my crafting desk. It’s that time of year when our heads can only hold so much, right? I did list the Peony Dies in the Supply List below even though I didn’t actually use them (but I will soon!). I mounted the peony onto a piece of Highland Heather cardstock, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhered it to the front of the card.
To color the peony using my Stampin’ Blends, I did several petals at one time. First, I colored the entire petal with Light Fresh Freesia. Then, I used Dark Fresh Freesia to color in the highlights (this stamp tells you where the highlights are – the very dark areas). I went over this same area again with Light Highland Heather and then went back in with Light Fresh Freesia to blend it all in. I only used Light Old Olive for the leaves and just colored them in and then went over the darker areas a second time When I tried using Dark Old Olive, I felt it was too dark.
I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and then stamped the sentiment in Highland Heather ink using the stamp set Artistically Inked. I mounted it onto a piece of Highland Heather cardstock, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it below the peony. To complete the card, I added three Elegant Faceted Gems around the peony.

Today’s card features a sneak peek of three new products from the upcoming January – June 2022 Mini Catalog!
The Designer Series Paper I used is called Flowering Fields (#157670) and I have to say I’m in love with this paper with the tulips and beautiful colors! Unfortunately I can’t link these products up to the online store until the catalog goes live.
I started with a base of Rich Razzleberry cardstock and then added a layer of Fresh Freesia cardstock that I embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Then I added another layer of Rich Razzleberry and Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper.
I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Freesia ink using another new product, the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set (#158005). There are 15 stamps in this set and they are all in the same font as on my card. Love it!! I used the Double Oval Punch to cut out the sentiment as well as the Rich Razzleberry oval. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Rich Razzleberry oval and adhered it to the front of the card.
The cute little butterflies are also new and they’re called Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136). You can purchase all three of these new products on January 4, 2022.

Today’s card features a birthday card using the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch. The Designer Series Paper I used is called Pattern Party and it’s a host only item. You can earn it with a personal order or by hosting a party. It’s a huge pack of paper and includes 48 pieces of beautiful paper. You can see more information about it in the Annual Catalog on page 171 or here.
I started with a base of Thick Basic White cardstock and then added a piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper. Next, using Basic White cardstock, I cut a stitched rectangle using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I stamped the sentiment towards the bottom of the rectangle using Memento ink and the stamp set Sweet as a Peach.
Using a scrap of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the cone in Cinnamon Cider ink. I also used Cinnamon Cider ink to stamp the marks on the cone and cut it out using the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch. I stamped the ice cream scoop onto Basic White cardstock using Coastal Cabana ink and used Early Espresso ink to stamp the sprinkles. I love Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream so to me, they look like little chocolate chips. I cut the scoop out using the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch. I adhered the cone to the stitched rectangle using Multipurpose Glue but added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the scoop before placing it on the cone. Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the rectangle and adhered it to the front of the card.
To complete the card, I added three Holiday Rhinestones to the front of the card. Another option would be to use our Artistry Blooms Adhesive Backed Sequins. You can find the measurements I used below the Supply List.

Stampin’ Up! has a new Mini Catalog debuting on January 4, 2022. If you’ve ordered from me in the last six months, I ordered a catalog for you in late November and you’ll be receiving it directly from Stampin’ Up!. As I understand, they were mailed in early December so be on the lookout for it soon (it will also include the Sale-a-Bration brochure). If you placed an order from me for the first time in the month of December, I will be directly mailing yours to you.
Last Friday I shared two cards with you (and a free tutorial) and unfortunately the Designer Series Paper I used on both cards is no longer available. So I made another version of the card using Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog.
I also used the stamp set In Symmetry along with the Layering Circles Dies.

Update: It’s that time of year when it’s hard to know what will still be in stock from day to day. I wrote today’s tutorial several days ago when Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper was not on the Low Inventory List and unfortunately, it sold out yesterday which means that for both of the cards I’m sharing, you can’t purchase the Designer Series Paper.
I try to never show products you can’t purchase because that’s frustrating for you, but it’s really challenging right now. As I mention in my post, this is an easy card to replicate with paper you already own and a coordinating cardstock. I’ll create a card this weekend using this same design with paper from the Annual Catalog and post it on Monday.
Today I have two fun fold cards for you. Unfortunately I made one of the cards with Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper before it sold out so I made another one using Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper. Normally I wouldn’t share a card with retired paper but if you were lucky to get a pack before it sold out, you now have another idea for it. The design of this card is so versatile that you could use any paper and make it a thank you or birthday card and change out the sentiment.
The first card features Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (retiring and available while supplies last) and the second one was made with Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper, which as I mentioned above, has already sold out.

Today’s card features Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper and the stamp set, Heartfelt Wishes. Both of these products are retiring and available while supplies last or January 3, 2022.
I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock for the base of my card and added a layer of Read Red cardstock. Then I adhered a piece of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper to the bottom of a piece of Basic White cardstock.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink (Pear Pizzazz ink will also work and will be a little lighter) using the stamp set Heartfelt Wishes. Then I wrapped a piece of Real Red 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon around the middle and tied a knot. This ribbon is retiring and it’s on sale! I adhered this piece to the Real Red cardstock.
To add some sparkle, I added three rhinestones around the sentiment. You can find all the measurements I used below the Supply List.

Today’s card, just like yesterday’s, features Sweet Stockings 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (retiring and available while supplies last). I also used the Scalloped Contours Dies. These dies are so cute with stitching and scallops!
I started with a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock. Then I used a piece of Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper and the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut the large scalloped shape. I used these dies again to cut the smaller scalloped shaped with the dog, mouse and kitty. I adhered the smaller scalloped piece to the larger one and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and placed it on the front of the card.
I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink and the stamp set, Words of Cheer (retiring and available while supplies last). I cut it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and tried to place it on the card where it wasn’t blocking any of the animals.
To complete the card, I added three rhinestones. This is a quick and easy card to make!
