I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock and using one of the larger dies in the Layering Ovals Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I made an opening. Then I placed it inside the Woodland Embossing Folder and ran it through my die-cutting machine. It’s important to do these steps in this order. If you emboss first and then cut the opening, your embossing will be flattened.
Next, I stamped my reindeer in Memento Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and then colored him using Real Red & Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. On the back of the embossed piece, I added adhesive all around the outside edges of the opening and then placed the reindeer piece over it (if you like to fussy cut, it would look really cute to cut him out and then add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back). I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the embossed piece and adhered it to my Thick Whisper White card base
I wanted to use a sentiment in the Warm & Toasty stamp set but there wasn’t enough space below the opening so I used a smaller sentiment in the stamp set, Banner Year. I stamped it in Versamark ink onto Whisper White cardstock using Stampin’ Emboss Powder in Silver. If you’ve never heat embossed, and you really should because it’s so much fun, I have directions below on how to do it. So easy!
I cut the sentiment out using our Rectangle Stitched Dies and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and added it to the front of the card.
How to Heat Emboss
Prepare your cardstock by rubbing an anti-static pouch (Stampin’ Up! no longer carries this product but it’s a must when embossing) over the surface as it helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder. Stamp your sentiment or image using a Versamark pad. This is very sticky ink and your embossing powder will stick right to it. Sprinkle embossing powder over the stamped image. Shake off any excess. Before applying heat to your paper, heat the Heat Tool first so the paper won’t warp (about 10 seconds). Direct the heat over your image and watch as your sentiment is transformed!

I forgot to add Memento Ink to my Supply List but HERE’S the link for it.
The base of the card is Pretty Peacock cardstock (you can find all the measurements below the Supply List) with two panels of Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Pretty Peacock ink and the stamp set, Wrapped in Christmas. I used the Layering Ovals Dies to cut out the sentiment and the scalloped oval in Silver Foil. Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to just the top of the sentiment so the card will easily open. A piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was added to the inside and a rhinestone was placed right below the sentiment to complete the card. Super easy to make!

October Paper Pumpkin Details

Includes die-cut pieces in English, French, and German. This will allow you to create cards you can use to connect with others around the world—in their language!
Card size: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (10.8 x 14 cm)
Envelope size: 4-1/2″ x 5-3/4″ (11.4 x 14.6 cm)
Coordinating Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Just Jade, Soft Sea Foam
I started with a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock for the base of my card. I then added a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I ran through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I normally make this layer a little bit smaller than the card base but this time I made it the same size as the base.
I added a piece of Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper to a piece of Basic Black cardstock (this Designer Series Paper can be found in the Mini Catalog). The sentiment was stamped with Memento Ink onto Whisper White cardstock using the stamp set, Beautiful Autumn and was cut out using the Layering Ovals Dies. The scalloped oval was also cut out with these dies and I used our Black Glitter Paper for a little bit of sparkle.
The Black Glitter Paper is unlike the Glimmer Paper Stampin’ Up! used to carry. It’s thinner which makes it easier to use and the glitter doesn’t come off on your hands.
If you’d like to make today’s card, below you’ll find a supply list of the products I used as well as the measurements.

The base of the card is Mint Macaron cardstock and I combined it with our Gold Foil which always makes a card look fancy, don’t you think? The top layer of Mint Macaron cardstock was embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and a die-cutting machine. The banners were made using Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper & Gold Foil and the ends were cut using the Banner Triple Punch
The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock using Mint Macaron ink and the stamp set, Happiest of Birthdays. I cut it out using the Layering Ovals Dies. The scalloped foil oval was also cut out with these dies. The scalloped oval has Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back to give the card some dimension.

It’s time to use up those paper scraps before ordering brand new paper next week when the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Catalog goes live on June 3rd. Today’s card shows a fun way to use those pieces of paper that I know we all have sitting around.
Unfortunately the sentiment, from the stamp set Layered with Kindness, has already sold out. All stamp sets on the Last Chance Listare now available only while supplies last so be sure to pick up your favorites before they’re gone. You can see everything on the retiring list here.
The base of my card is Mint Macaron cardstock and I layered it with Purple Posy and Whisper White cardstock. Such a pretty combination, don’t you think?
I used the Layering Ovals Dies to cut out the sentiment and the two scalloped ovals. I love this set of dies because you have the option to layer using just a plain oval or you can be a bit more fancy and use the scalloped ones.
This really is a great way to use up your scraps to create a card to send to someone and brighten their day. We all really need that right now, don’t we? You can find all the measurements below!
