Today’s card features Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used Soft Sea Foam ink and a Sponge Dauber to add color to this very versatile paper. I actually used two FREE Sale-a-Bration gifts to create my card:
With every $50 purchase (before tax and shipping) you can choose either of these papers as your Sale-a-Bration gift. There’s no limit to how many gift you can earn! These products are available until March 31, 2020 or while supplies last!
I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut out both sentiment and the So Very Vellum Designer Series Paper. These dies are currently on the Low Inventory List so if you love them, I’d recommend purchasing them quickly. It’s possible that once they go into backorder status, it will take some time to get them back in stock.
The sentiment is from the stamp set, Seriously the Best, and was heat embossed using Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. If you haven’t tried embossing, now is the time!
How to Heat Emboss
Rub an Embossing Buddy over the surface of your cardstock (this helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder). Stamp your sentiment or image using a Versamark pad. This is very sticky ink and your embossing powder will stick right to it. Sprinkle embossing powder over the stamped image. Shake off any excess. Before applying heat to your paper, heat the Heat Toolfor about 10 seconds to minimize warping of your paper. Direct the heat over your image and watch the magic happen!

To create today’s card I used Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, a free Sale-a-Bration gift when you place a $50 order (before shipping/tax). You’ll receive (12) 12″ x 12″ sheets of these rose gold and silver foil designs. This paper is only available until March 31, 2020 or while supplies last!
I also used the stamp set, Seriously the Best, and embossed the sentiment with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I love the boldness of the sentiments in this set and when they’re embossed, a beautiful focal point is created.
The beauty of this Designer Series Paper is that you can easily add any Stampin’ Up! color to the white areas. I used Lovely Lipstick ink and applied it with a Sponge Dauber. It’s a good idea to take a tissue or a soft cloth and rub it over the surface of the paper after applying color to pick up any ink that’s sitting on top of the raised foil.

Starting tomorrow, Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper (#152312) will be available as a FREE Sale-a-Bration gift with a $50 purchase. Sale-a-Bration is that time of year when you earn free products with every $50 purchase and tomorrow, five new products will be released! Three of them will be available with a $50 purchase and two, with a $100 purchase. This is the last month of Sale-a-Bration and all the FREE gifts are while supplies last!
To create today’s card, I hand-cut a flower from one of the sheets in the Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper. I really don’t care for fussy cutting, but it really was pretty easy. Then using sponge daubers and ink pads, I added Petal Pink and Granny Apple Green to the flower. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.
The base of the card is Petal Pink cardstock with a layer of Whisper White that was embossed using a die-cutting machine and the Scripty 3D embossing folder. The embossed piece was adhered to the Petal Pink using Multipurpose Glue.
The sentiment was embossed onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the stamp set Peaceful Moments and Copper Embossing Powder. To prepare for embossing, rub the Embossing Buddy over the Whisper White paper. Then, stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink, pour the embossing powder over it and shake off the excess. Heat the Heat Tool for at least thirty seconds and then hold it over the sentiment and watch the magic happen as the embossing powder melts. The sentiment was then layered onto a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and adhered to the card using Multipurpose Glue. The flower (with the Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back) was then adhered to the front.
Optional: Add a piece of Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card.
Another product available tomorrow for the Sale-a-Bration 2nd Release is So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper will be FREE with a $50 purchase and it’s beautiful! I’ll have a card to share with you later in the week using this fun paper. In the meantime, take a look at the video below!
It’s time for the Glitter Queens Blog Hop! This month we’re bringing you ideas using Designer Series Paper. My project features Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper. This paper is on the retiring listso grab it while you can!
I used our Designer Series Paper to make a little box that will hold four Ghirardelli Mini Chocolates. The box is easy to make and I have a video showing just how quickly you can put them together.

I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder and cut it out using my die-cutting machine and the Stitched Rectangle Dies. If you haven’t embossed before, it’s pretty easy. Here are the instructions:
Prepare your cardstock by rubbing the Embossing Buddy over the surface (this helps keep away stray particles of embossing powder). Stamp your sentiment or image using a Versamark pad. This is very sticky ink and your embossing powder will stick right to it. Sprinkle embossing powder over the stamped image. Shake off any excess. Before applying heat to your paper, heat the Heat Tool first so the paper won’t warp (about 10 seconds). Direct the heat over your image and watch the magic happen!
You’ll find all the products I used to create today’s card listed below. Simply click any of the images to place an order or for more information.
Today’s card is all about foil! If you like sparkle, you’re going to love Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. Each sheet in this 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is double-sided with a beautiful foil pattern on one side and realistic designs on the other. I combined two of the foil designs to create today’s card. It can be really difficult to photograph foil paper and the beauty of the paper is hard to capture but it’s very pretty in person!
I embossed my sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. At this time of year embossing adds a special touch to your cards. To cut the sentiment out, I used the Stitched Shapes Dies. The scalloped circle underneath it was cut out with the Layering Circles Dies. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the scalloped oval as well as the smaller panel of foil and cardstock.
